There are provided rolls comprising an air and water barrier article having opposing first and second major surfaces, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least the first major surface of the article, and a liner having a first major surface that contacts the opposing second major surface of the article, and at least two adhesion modifying zones disposed between the second major surface of the article and the first major surface of the liner, wherein both of a first and second adhesion modifying zones contact the first major surface of the liner, and wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll. There are also provided films made using these air and water barrier articles and building envelopes made using such films.

The present invention includes a tape peeling mechanism provided with a peeling member configured to enter a leading end surface in a feeding direction of fed component supply tape made from carrier tape and cover tape so as to peel the cover tape from the carrier tape, enabling a component to be supplied from at a component supply position, wherein the peeling member is displaced upwards after entering the leading end surface of the carrier tape as the component supply tape is fed. Accordingly, cover tape is reliably peeled without damaging components, and changeover work on the leading end of the component supply tape is not required.

A sealing for arrangement between a wall and a wall covering includes a sealing sheet and an adhesive tape. The sealing sheet and the adhesive tape each have a carrier layer of a preferably closed-cell foam plastic. Furthermore, the sealing sheet can bear a nonwoven fabric preferably on the wall-facing side, wherein border strips remain free of the nonwoven fabric for underlapping with an adhesive tape.

A method for joining adhesive tape to an object includes providing a piece of adhesive material, the piece of adhesive material having an adhesive surface covered with a removable cover on a first side and a non-tacky surface on a second side. The method further includes placing the piece of adhesive material in a mold and extruding an extrudable material over the adhesive tape, the extrudable material contacting the non-tacky surface of the adhesive material in the mold. The method further includes molding an object in the mold from the extrudable material and bonding the non-tacky surface to the object, the bonding resulting from the heat of the extrudable material.

A protective film press using commercially available anti-graffiti film for the production of a multi-layer protective film. The invention provides a relatively simple and economical manufacturing device and method to produce a multi-layer protective film which has historically required expensive and complex methods and equipment. The protective film press comprising a frame chassis, a plurality of mounting assemblies detachably attached to the frame chassis, first and second motorized pull roller assemblies repositionably mounted on the frame chassis, a pair of pressure rollers that pneumatically press the anti-graffiti films into a vertically stacked multi-layer configuration, and at least one alignment roller repositionably mounted on the frame chassis. A preferred embodiment of present invention also includes means for controlling the speed at which the first and second motorized pull roller assemblies operate and also a means for providing pressure for the pair of pressure rollers.

Provided herein are seam tapes and related methods. The seam tapes can be compatible with polyolefin-based waterproof/breathable (w/b) membranes, including polypropylene (PP) w/b membranes and/or polyethylene (PE) w/b membranes. The present invention relates to an acoustical and thermal decoupling system (10) in a form of a polymer tape that includes a closed-cell foam layer (12) having a front side and a reverse side, a pressure sensitive adhesive (14) coated on the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12), and a release liner (16) covering the pressure sensitive adhesive (14) on the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12). The invention provides a cover tape and the method for manufacturing the same. The cover tape comprises an antistatic layer, two intermediate layers, a base layer, two tie layers and a heat seal layer. These seven layers are formed by a co-extrusion process.
