A method of manufacturing a label with a suspension handle includes providing a first layered material including a support layer and a releasable first front layer. A front surface of the first front layer is coated with a first detachment promoter layer, leaving a zone free of the first promoter layer. A handle area of the first promoter layer is coated with a second detachment promoter layer. A second layered material includes a second front layer and an adhesive layer. While the second detachment promoter layer is wet, the components are coupled, so the adhesive layer adheres to the free zone. The second detachment promoter layer-adhesive layer solidifies to bind the layers. In the second layer thickness, a suspension handle is separated from the handle area. A secondary label is superposed only over the first layer detachment promoter, and forms a label surround in the first front layer.

The invention relates to a film comprising an optionally multilayer carrier layer; wherein one surface side of the carrier layer has been modified over part of its area either by surface activation or by printing with a print medium, such that the surface side has modified regions and unmodified regions; wherein the modified regions and the unmodified regions are coated over part or all of the area by a release material; and wherein the strength of adhesion of the release material to the carrier layer in the modified regions is different compared to the adhesion of the release material to the carrier layer in the unmodified regions.

The present disclosure relates to adhesive article that include a first, stretch releasable adhesive and patterned adhesive elements on, within, or partially embedded in a surface of the adhesive. The adhesive elements can act as spacers between the adhesive surface and the mounting surface to prevent full contact and wet out of the first adhesive, whereby the article can be removed from the wall and placed at a new location without damage to the wall surface or the article. Once the final location is selected, the separation created by the engineered elements can be overcome by applying sufficient pressure; the first adhesive can contact and adhere more permanently to the wall. In accordance with the present application, there is provided a release liner and method of preparing a liner for a label assembly. The release liner includes paper having a first side that does not have a machine finish or gloss finish or a coating; and a silicone treatment applied to the first side of the paper. The method of preparing a liner for a label assembly includes applying a coat of silicone to a paper at a side of the paper that does not have a machine finish or gloss finish and is otherwise uncoated; and curing the silicone. The release liner includes paper having a silicone coat weight of 0.5 lb/ream or less.

A tandem system of metering and donor rolls is used to apply two different adhesives to a fully adhesive backed multilayer sheet to produce variably distributed adhesives and properties. Each of the two adhesives is unique and is cured differently to create a layer of adhesive that has differing adhesive properties on the sheet.
