FUNCTIONAL LAMINATE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a functional laminate including a porous intermediate layer having air permeability laminated between a porous surface layer and a resin foamed layer, the porous intermediate layer having an affinity to a foaming resin forming the resin foamed layer.
INCREASING THE TEAR RESISTANCE OF A MULTI-LAYERED FILM
The invention relates to a method of increasing the tear resistance of a multi-layered film. This multi-layered film includes at least one barrier arrangement that has a total thickness for reducing gas permeability. According to the invention, the barrier arrangement is divided into at least two layers, to increase tear resistance.
MULTILAYER FILMS AND METHODS THEREOF
Embodiments disclosed herein include multilayer films having a cling layer and a release layer, wherein the cling layer comprises a carrier resin having a crystallinity ranging from 10% to 30%; and from 0.5 to 50.0 wt. % of a block composite or a specified block composite comprising (i) an ethylene-based copolymer, (ii) an alpha-olefin-based copolymer, and (iii) a block copolymer including an ethylene-based soft block that has a same composition as the ethylene-based copolymer of the block composite or specified block composite and an alpha-olefin-based hard block that has a same composition as the alpha-olefin-based copolymer of the block composite or specified block composite.
Silo bags with non-uniform thickness and methods of producing
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to multilayer silo bags that may include a tube comprising at least two layers, a first open end, a second open end, and a first region and a second region disposed between the first and second end. One or more of the at least three layers may comprise an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer having a density of 0.90 g/cc to 0.965 g/cc and an I.sub.2 of 0.1 to 6.0 g/10 minutes, a low density ethylene-based polymer having a density of 0.917 g/cc to 0.935 g/cc and an I.sub.2 of 0.1 to 2.0 g/10 minutes, or combinations thereof. The first region may have a thickness of at least 10% greater than a thickness of the second region. The first region may have a surface area that is at least 50% of an overall surface area of the multilayer silo bag.
BIODEGRADABLE IRRIGATION PIPE
A multi-layered drip irrigation pipe wherein its core layer made from one of the materials selected from group of materials consisting of paper, paper pulp, board, sawdust, wood, wood chippings, bamboo, bagasse, oil palm stem, popula, wood flour, fruit hull powder, moss, peat, mulch, grasses, straw, hay, cotton, starch, seeds, seed husks, silage, cereal and cereal husks, kernels, bread, flour, skin, feces, manure, dung, fish cartilage, leaves of various flora, bark of various flora, plant stems, seaweed and other naturally growing flora, bone, bone meal, vegetables, fruit, fiber, hair, fur, feathers, clay, shell, ash, rags, felt and other commercially produced fabrics and mixtures of any of the preceding materials.
System of integrated passageways in a carbon fiber boom and method thereof
A spray boom includes a body having a length defined a first end and a second end thereof. The body is formed by a plurality of layers of composite material adapted to be molded together to form an inner surface and an outer surface. A hollow cavity is defined in the body internally of the inner surface, and a channel is formed in the body between the inner surface and the outer surface. The channel extends along the length and is defined between the first end and the second end.
Modular weed barrier mat using upcycled tires
A modular weed barrier mat comprised of a double layer of tire tread sections cut from used tires arranged so that the lengths of the upper sections are perpendicular to those of the lower sections. A pair of upper sections are positioned in spaced apart relationship so as to form a gap, with a central slit array cut into two immediately adjacent lower sections accessible within the gap. A slit cut through a width of one lower section directly below one of the upper sections on either side of the central slit array allows a post to be moved into the slit and then positioned in the central slit array. Corrosion resistant fasteners are removed and replaced as needed to allow the mat to be installed or removed as desired. One embodiment features lower and upper lap portions on opposite sides of the mat for modular installation.
FLEXIBLE TUBULAR DEVICE COMPRISING A TUBULAR WALL WITH AN ELASTOMER MATRIX, REARING ENCLOSURE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE LATTER
Disclosed is a flexible tubular device including a tubular wall that delimits a sealed chamber intended to be filled with a fluid. The tubular wall includes an elastomer matrix into which at least one reinforcement ply delimited by two longitudinal portions is incorporated. The at least one reinforcement ply has the general shape of a sleeve that extends inside the tubular wall to surround the sealed chamber; and the two longitudinal portions of the at least one reinforcement ply are juxtaposed relative to each other. Also disclosed is a rearing enclosure including such a device, and also a method for manufacturing the latter.
FLEXIBLE LAYERED SHEET
A flexible layered fabric sheet comprising a porous front layer and a pre-seeded substrate layer, where the seeds are in-between the two layers (rather than at the back of the substrate layer), for supporting root growth, the two layers together having an upper and lower edge and being attached together with one or more non-continuous seams between the upper and lower edges, which seams have a component of direction parallel to the upper and/or lower edge, and wherein the non-continuous seams enable water to exit the layered fabric sheet at its lower edge, and the non-continuous seams further serve to slow water flow through the water sheet. The seams also serve to keep the two layers from separating which would hamper the penetration of the sapling through the front porous layer, and thus stunt growth.
Agro- and geotextiles
The invention pertains to an agro- or geotextile (1), comprising: i) a carrier (2); and ii) an electric network (3) of one or more lighting units (4, 18), whereby said electric network (3) of one or more lighting units (4, 18) is provided on a surface of said carrier (2).
