The EPDM mixture as the rubber component includes a first EPDM with an ethylene content of 67% by mass or more and a second EPDM with an ethylene content of 57% by mass or less. A content of the second EPDM in the EPDM mixture is larger than a content of the first EPDM in the EPDM mixture. An average ethylene content of the EPDM mixture is 54% by mass or more and 59% by mass or less.

The fabric includes a plurality of through voids, where each of the voids has a first opening associated with a top surface of the fabric and a first raised edge circumferentially adjacent to the first opening. The voids may each further include a second opening associated with a bottom surface of the fabric and a second raised edge circumferentially adjacent to the second opening, such that the first opening may have a surface area that is larger than or the same as the second opening.

A method for making a V-ribbed belt is made by inserting a first partial blank in the form of a base tube into a cylindrical vulcanization mold having a negative of a V-ribbed profile. The first partial blank is molded into a surrounding negative and thus provided with the V-ribbed profile without vulcanization. A second partial blank made as a top ply tube with a tension strand is inserted into the virtually completely molded-in base tube and is expanded under heat and pressure so that the top ply tube and the base tube are bonded to one another. Thereafter, the latter is molded into the surrounding negative of the vulcanization mold, and the top ply tube and the base tube are vulcanized to form a V-ribbed blank, whereafter the V-ribbed blank is removed from the vulcanization mold and is fed to the cutting device.

A belt, such as a round baler belt, includes an internal region, an external region, a core region arranged between the internal region and the external region, and at least one peripheral region arranged transversely to longitudinal direction of the round baler belt. The peripheral region is arranged at least partially between the internal region and the external region, and the belt is continuously closed in the longitudinal direction. The peripheral region may be arranged entirely between the internal region and the external region. In some cases, at least one peripheral region is two peripheral regions located opposite one another transversely to the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the core region may be continuously wound, and even formed of reinforcing fabric. In some aspects, the internal region and/or the external region and/or a peripheral region and/or both peripheral regions contain an elastomeric material.

A conveyor belt includes a cover layer defining a load carrying surface, a pulley engaging layer disposed parallel to the cover layer, and a carcass containing a reinforcement layer, where the carcass disposed between the cover layer and the pulley engaging layer. The cover layer is formed by curing an admixture containing at least a cross-linkable functionalized polyethylene and polyethylene polyolefin. According to the disclosure, the cured admixture is effectively maintained within the cover layer during use of the conveyor belt. In some cases, the load carrying surface maintains a wet clay cleanability value of greater than 3, or even a wet clay cleanability value of greater than 4.4. The cross-linkable functionalized polyethylene may be a cross-linkable oxidized polyethylene. In some aspects, the cross-linkable functionalized polyethylene does not form a polyethylene film upon the load carrying surface.

The second layer is made of woven fabric. The first layer is bonded to the second layer so that the first layer extends only partially through the second layer and an interface formed between the first and second layers includes bonded and unbonded portions and airflow channels that extend in a plane parallel to the first and second layers.
