Flame resistant rubber based articles

Hose embodiments include an inner tube, a reinforcement layer disposed outwardly adjacent the inner tube, and an outer cover layer disposed outwardly adjacent the reinforcement layer. One or more of the inner tube and cover layer may be based upon a curable composition having EPDM, a filler package, and a sulfur curative, and after curing, the hose embodiments meet the testing requirements of the UL 94 standard. In some cases, the inner tube is based upon the curable composition, while in some other cases, the cover layer is based upon the curable composition. Yet, in other cases, the inner tube and the cover layer each is based upon the curable composition. In some aspects, the curable composition includes the EPDM in an amount of from 10% to 30% by weight, or even in an amount of from 30% to 80% by weight.

Fixing belt with high thermal conductivity

A fixing belt includes a substrate layer inducting a first base resin and a first thermally conductive filler dispersed in the first base resin; and a release layer provided on the substrate layer, wherein the first base resin includes at least one selected from a polyimide, a polyamide, and a polyamideimide and the first thermally conductive filler includes at least one selected from carbon black, graphite, boron nitride (BN), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and carbon fibers, and the substrate layer has a thermal conductivity in a thickness direction of about 1.5 W/m.Math.K or more.

WEB MATERIAL STRUCTURING BELT, METHOD FOR MAKING AND METHOD FOR USING

Web material structuring belts that impart structure to a web material during a web material structuring operation and/or structured web material forming operation, method for making same and methods for using same to make structured web materials, for example structured fibrous structures, such as structured sanitary tissue products such as structured toilet tissue, structured paper towels and structured facial tissue are provided.

The present invention relates to a wrapped V-belt including: a tension member layer including a tension member; a tension rubber layer laminated on the tension member layer at a belt outer peripheral side; a compression rubber layer laminated on the tension member layer at a belt inner peripheral side; and an outside cloth covering an entire outer surface of the belt, in which the compression rubber layer includes a first compression rubber layer laminated at the belt outer peripheral side and a second compression rubber layer laminated at the belt inner peripheral side, and the tension rubber layer has a rubber hardness that is higher than a rubber hardness of the second compression rubber layer and lower than a rubber hardness of the first compression rubber layer.

LAMINATED PAPERMAKING BELT

Disclosed is a two layered belt useful in the manufacture of tissue products comprising a first woven layer and a second nonwoven layer joined together in a laminated arrangement. The woven layer typically forms the machine contacting layer of the belt and is woven from a highly abrasion resistant material, while the nonwoven layer contacts the nascent tissue web. The woven layer may be provided with valleys and ridges that the nascent web is molded into, while the nonwoven layer may be provided with elements that impart a visually aesthetic pattern to the web. In this manner the belt may be useful in the production of products having desirable physical properties resulting from molding into the woven fabric while also being visually pleasing to the user.

Transmission V-belt

A power transmission V-belt includes a tension member, an adhesion rubber layer in which at least part of the tension member is embedded, and a tension rubber layer and a compression rubber layer stacked via the adhesion rubber layer. A rubber hardness of the tension rubber layer is smaller than a rubber hardness of the compression rubber layer. In the adhesion rubber layer, a rubber hardness on a tension rubber layer side relative to the tension member is smaller than a rubber hardness on a compression rubber layer side.

CURATIVE & METHOD

A thermoset material containing β-hydroxyesters wherein said thermoset material is subject to a mechano-chemical process to regenerate an epoxide and a carboxylic acid functionality. A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.

HIGH HEAT AND OIL RESISTANT CONVEYOR BELT

Conveyor belts having a reinforcement layer, a carry cover layer above the reinforcement layer, and a pulley cover layer disposed beneath the reinforcement layer, where the carry cover layer includes least one hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) material. The HNBR material(s) may have a percentage of hydrogenation of from about 90% to about 96%, from about 92% to about 95%, or even about 94%. The carry cover layer may be from about 4 mm to about 6 mm thick, or even from about 4 mm to about 5 mm thick. In some cases, the reinforcement layer includes a rubber matrix, which may be formed of a nitrile rubber (NBR), or mixture of nitrile NBR and natural rubber blended in a NBR:NR weight ratio of from 3:1 to 9:1. In some aspects, the reinforcement layer includes a plurality of reinforcement plies embedded in the rubber matrix.
