CYLINDRICAL MOLDED ARTICLE, BARRIER PLUG, AND CONTAINER WITH BARRIER PLUG
A cylindrical molded article having a resin layer comprising a barrier resin, the barrier resin having a vinylidene chloride copolymer, and the cylindrical molded article having a total thickness of 100 ?m or more.
Multilayer Barrier Film
A multilayer plastic film or sheet having a series of component layers and optional bonding layers tying said component layers together is provided. The multilayer film or sheet comprises a central barrier layer comprising first and second layers of polyvinylidene chloride polymer bonded together with a tie or bonding layer, an outer layer adjacent to an outer side of the first PVDC layer, and a sealant layer adjacent to an outer side of the second PVDC layer.
Tamper evident tabbed sealing member having a foamed polymer layer
A pull-tab sealing member for a container providing a foamed polymer layer positioned within the sealing member for effective heat sealing to the container together with a lower laminate below a tab capable of tearing to provide a tamper evident structure below the tab.
SHEET-LIKE COMPOSITE, ESPECIALLY PACKAGING LAMINATE FOR DIMENSIONALLY STABLE FOOD-STUFF CONTAINERS, HAVING A POLYMERIC INTERNAL LAYER CHARACTERIZED BY DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY
The invention relates to a sheet-like composite including as layers of a layer sequence, in a direction from an external side of the sheet-like composite to an internal side of the sheet-like composite, a) a carrier layer, b) a barrier layer, and c) a polymeric internal layer, where a graph of a differential scanning calorimetry of the polymeric internal layer includes a peak A at a temperature T.sub.A and a peak B at a temperature T.sub.B, where the temperature T.sub.B is more than the temperature T.sub.A, where a width of the peak B is less by at least 3 C. than a width of the peak A. The invention further relates to a container precursor and to a closed container including the sheet-like composite, and also to a process by which the sheet-like composite is obtainable, and to a use of the sheet-like composite.

Bi-Oriented, Linear, Low-Density Polyethylene Film with Improved Sealing Properties
Disclosed are compositions, methods, and uses for multi-layered films which are intended to provide high quality sealants having sufficient sealing strength for use in packaging and other applications while being more cost-effective and higher-yield than traditional combinations of unoriented polyolefin films and web materials. The film comprises a multilayer structure of LLDPE having a core layer, a surface skin layer, and a sealant skin layer. The core layer further comprises a slip agent, while the skin layers further comprise antiblock agents. Optional embodiments may include tie layers between the core layer and the skin layers, or may include pigments in one or more of the core layer or tie layers. The surface skin layer may be subjected to a surface treatment (e.g., corona treatment) to improve suitability for coating or metallization.
Cap liner comprising a sintered fluoropolymer layer
In an aspect, a cap liner comprises a sintered fluoropolymer layer; and a backing layer; wherein the sintered fluoropolymer layer is in direct physical contact with the backing layer with no intervening layer located there between. In another aspect, a method of forming the cap liner of comprises plasma etching the sintered fluoropolymer layer to form a sintered plasma etched layer; and laminating the sintered plasma etched layer and the backing layer to form the cap liner.
Connecting systems for adjacent ends of insulation tubing
A connector or adhesive assembly for joining adjacent ends of insulation tubing, comprising a layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material, said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material capable of bonding to insulation tubing, whereby when said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material is positioned between a first section of insulation tubing and a second section of insulation tubing, said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material bonds to both the first section of insulation tubing and the second section of insulation tubing; and a disposable release liner member adapted to hold said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material prior to positioning said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material between the first section of insulation tubing and the second section of insulation tubing. Generally, the seam created when the first section of insulation tubing and the second section of insulation tubing are joined is covered with tape.
ANTIFOG FILM WITH PEELABLE FUNCTIONALITY
The present invention provides a multilayer polymeric film structure having an outer layer that is adhered to an inner layer. The inner layer comprises a blown film and may be coated with a peelable antifog coating. In some embodiments, the antifog coating comprises ethyl alcohol and nitrocellulose. The external and inner layers may be bonded together with an adhesive layer. The film structure may be configured to hold a food product such as produce, meat, and/or cheese.
ANTIFOG POLYESTER LIDDING FILM FOR CPET TRAYS
The present disclosure is directed to peelable, heat-sealable lidding films for containers of diverse polymer compositions storing various products such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The lidding films disclosed herein can be heat-sealed to crystalline polyester trays (CPET), easily peeled, and contain improved antifogging performance by incorporating a non-migratory antifogging additive into the heat sealable layer of the film without deteriorating seal strengths.
