USE OF DUAL OVENABLE POLYESTER FILMS IN VACUUM SKIN PACKAGING APPLICATIONS AND SKIN PACKAGES OBTAINED THEREFROM

The present invention relates to the use of dual ovenable biaxially oriented polyester films in vacuum skin packaging applications. Furthermore, the invention relates to preferably dual ovenable skin packages, in particular to preferably dual ovenable vacuum skin food packages for cook-in applications. Due to the very high formability, the VSP packages of the present invention do not show the defects of prior VSP ovenable packages such as self-sealing of the top web or unsealed areas around the packed product.

PROCESS FOR REGENERATING A MONOLITHIC, MACRO-STRUCTURAL, INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK MORPHOLOGY FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
20200190297 · 2020-06-18 ·

Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.

Antifog polyester lidding film for CPET trays

The present disclosure is directed to peelable, heat-sealable lidding films for containers of diverse polymer compositions storing various products such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The lidding films disclosed herein can be heat-sealed to crystalline polyester trays (CPET), easily peeled, and contain improved antifogging performance by incorporating a non-migratory antifogging additive into the heat sealable layer of the film without deteriorating seal strengths.
