Polyester laminate tube for container
A polyester film laminated with other polymers to form a sheet. A laminated tube for liquid and paste products such as toothpastes, and the like can be manufactured from said sheet. The laminate comprises an outer polyethylene film, adhesive agent layers, a polyester film, and a composite polyethylene film comprising at least one co-extruded polyethylene layer sandwiched by at least one polyethylene film and an inner polyethylene film.
MULTI-LAYERED PRODUCT HAVING AN EMBOSSED INTERIOR LAYER AND A METHOD FOR MAKING THE PRODUCT
A multi-layered product having an embossed interior layer is disclosed along with a method of making the product. The multi-layered product has a first layer with an interior surface, a second layer with an interior surface, and a third layer sandwiched between the first and second layers. The third layer has a first surface and a second surface and has a thickness therebetween. The third layer is embossed into a waffle pattern having a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of recesses. Each of the plurality of protrusions and recesses is adjacently aligned and horizontally offset from one another. The plurality of protrusions forms a horizontal plane, at the first surface, which is positioned above a horizontal plane formed by the plurality of recesses, at the first surface. The product also has an adhesive which secures the three layers together.
Layered sheet, electronic component packaging container, and electronic component packaging
A layered sheet has a substrate layer and surface layers provided on both surfaces of the substrate layer, wherein the surface layers contain 50 to 90 mass % of component (A) defined below and 10 to 50 mass % of component (B) defined below relative to the overall mass of the surface layer; the substrate layer is composed of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon resin composition containing monomer units derived from conjugated dienes; and a percentage of the monomer units derived from the conjugated dienes in the substrate layer is 6 to 14 mass % relative to all monomer units in the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-based resin composition. Component (A) is a rubber-modified (meth)acrylic acid ester-vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer in which the percentage of a conjugated diene rubber component is 5 to 25 mass %. Component (B) is a polymeric antistatic agent.
BREATHABLE FILM
A film comprising a perforated layer, wherein the perforated layer is characterized by water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of at least 300 gr/m2/day; and wherein the perforated layer is characterized by a liquid permeability of less than 0.6 gr when measured according to AATCC 35. Further, methods of manufacturing the composition of the invention are provided.
Nickel-plated, heat-treated steel sheet for battery cans
The present invention provides a nickel-plated heat-treated steel sheet for a battery can (1), having a nickel layer with a nickel amount of 4.4 to 26.7 g/m.sup.2 on a steel sheet (11), wherein when the Fe intensity and the Ni intensity are continuously measured along the depth direction from the surface of the nickel-plated heat-treated steel sheet for a battery can, by using a high frequency glow discharge optical emission spectrometric analyzer, the difference (D2-D1) between the depth (D1) at which the Fe intensity exhibits a first predetermined value and the depth (D2) at which the Ni intensity exhibits a second predetermined value is less than 0.04 μm.
Deployable KiriForm flexures
A deployable Kiriform flexure includes first and second sections. The first section of the Kiriform flexure includes a plurality of curved fins arranged about a central axis. The second section of the Kiriform flexure includes a plurality of curved fins arranged about a central axis. Each fin of the second section is joined with a fin of the first section such that the first and second sections share a common central axis in a configuration that produces out-of-plane elastic buckling of the fins to actuate the Kiriform flexure from a substantially flat structure that extends substantially only in two dimensions orthogonal to the central axis to an expanded structure extending substantially in a third dimension parallel to the central axis when at least one of the first and second sections is rotated relative to the other section.
Thermal enclosure
A thermal insulation device includes a first plate, a second plate formed to nest adjacent the first plate with a gap between the first and second plates, a porous material disposed between the plates, and a sealing layer disposed between the first and second plates such that the porous material is sealed from ambient at a pressure less than ambient. Multiple such sets of plates may be used to form an enclosure for a device that thermally insulates the device from ambient.
Multiply-insulated assemblies
Provided are multiply-insulated articles, comprising at least first and second containers disposed together such that the interior volume of the first container is sealed against the environment exterior to the article.
Polyester terephthalate rigid wadding disposed between surface laminations
Rigid wadding, insulation and packaging for food and other products is made of homogeneous polyester terephthalate (PET) that satisfies the resin recycling identification code number one. For purposes of protecting an inner rigid wadding or other insulation, one or more film strips or film coatings may be applied by the artful use of amorphous (non-crystalized) PET that melts at a lower temperature and can act as a thermal bond adhesive. The film strips or film coatings may be made of homogeneous polyester terephthalate (PET) that satisfies the resin recycling identification code number one.
Multiaxial textile resin base material and method of production thereof
A multiaxial fabric resin base material includes a multiaxial fabric base material laminate impregnated with a thermosetting resin (B), the multiaxial fabric base material laminate including fiber bundle sheets layered at different angles, the fiber bundle sheets including unidirectionally aligned fiber bundles stitched with stitching yarns composed of a thermoplastic resin (A), the multiaxial fabric base material laminate being penetrated in the thickness direction by other bodies of the stitching yarns, and being stitched with the other bodies of the stitching yarns such that the yarns reciprocate at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction, the thermoplastic resin (A) constituting the stitching yarns having a softening point, the softening point being higher than the resin impregnation temperature of the thermosetting resin (B).
