Space filler with a vacuum cover

A vehicle having a space filling panel including a polystyrene layer, a polyurethane layer, and a polyethylene cover where the polyethylene cover forms a vacuum sealed space. The polystyrene layer and the polyurethane layer are both positioned in the polyethylene cover's vacuum sealed space. In another embodiment, a space filling panel for a vehicle includes a polystyrene layer comprising a plurality of polyurethane chips. The polystyrene layer having the plurality of polyurethane chips is enclosed in a vacuum sealed space formed by a polyethylene cover.

MULTILAYER FLOOR COVERING WITH SHEET-TYPE SENSOR
20170360234 · 2017-12-21 ·

A multilayer floor covering comprises a resilient top covering (12) for providing a walking surface, a sheet-type sensor layer (16) arranged underneath the resilient top covering, a first adhesive layer (14) attaching the resilient top covering to the sheet-type sensor layer and a second adhesive layer (18) for attaching the sheet-type sensor layer to an underlying subfloor (20). To facilitate access to the sheet-type sensor layer, the first adhesive layer (14) is configured to provide lower resistance to peeling than the second adhesive layer (18). The invention further proposes a kit of parts for achieving such a floor covering as well as a method for installing the floor covering.

Aircraft floor assemblies with discontinuous coupling between layers

A finished floor assembly covers a floor area of an aircraft and includes a subfloor, a padding assembly, and a finish flooring layer. Noise radiates from the subfloor due to vibrations transmitted by an aircraft structure. The padding assembly attenuates the noise and includes a first pad layer, a second pad layer, and a plurality of discontinuous couplings. The first pad layer abuts the subfloor. The second pad layer is adjacent to the first pad layer. The plurality of discontinuous couplings are laterally separated from each other along the floor area by void portions. The discontinuous couplings secure the first pad layer to the second pad layer and the first pad layer and the second pad layer are in contact at the void portions. The finish flooring layer disposed overtop the padding assembly.

METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING PANELS HAVING A DECORATIVE SURFACE

A method is provided for manufacturing a paper layer having a printed pattern for use in panels that at least include a substrate and a top layer. The top layer includes the paper layer. The method may involve providing the paper layer with an inkjet receiver coating by transporting the paper layer relative to a coater in a coating direction. The coated paper layer may be provided with at least a portion of the printed pattern using a digital inkjet printer that includes a housing containing print heads. Providing the printed pattern may involve using water based pigment containing inks. The printed pattern may include a wood motif having wood nerves extending generally in a nerve direction substantially corresponding to the coating direction. Providing the printed pattern may involve a relative motion between the digital inkjet printer and the paper layer during a printing operation in a printing direction substantially corresponding or substantially opposite to the coating direction. The paper layer may be maintained flat inside the housing, or the minimum radius over which the paper layer is bent inside the housing may be larger than 25 centimeters. The paper layer may be fed from a roll, printed upon, and rolled back up again. The inkjet receiver coating may be obtained from a liquid substance that is deposited on the paper layer. The liquid substance may have a viscosity of 10 to 75 seconds Din cup 4 at 20° C.

Covering for Floors, Walls or Ceilings, and Method for Obtaining a Covering

The current invention concerns a covering, such as a floor covering, wall covering or ceiling covering, said covering comprising a surface layer, and a substrate layer attached to said surface layer, said substrate layer optionally comprising one or more reinforced thermoplastic layers. Said covering further comprises a backing layer on the bottom side of said substrate layer, opposite to said surface layer, and a textile layer attached to the bottom side of said backing layer, optionally through a contact layer. The covering further comprises a coating applied to the bottom of said textile layer. The invention also provides a method for producing a covering, such as a floor covering, wall covering or ceiling covering.

A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PANEL INCLUDING A REINFORCEMENT SHEET, AND A FLOOR PANEL

A method for manufacturing a panel including a reinforcement sheet having the steps of: providing a first layer of thermoplastic material, providing a reinforcement sheet, laying the reinforcement sheet and the first layer onto each other, applying a second layer of thermoplastic material on top of the reinforcement sheet at a side facing away from the first layer, at least partially melting the thermoplastic materials of the first layer and the second layer, adhering the at least partially melted first layer, the at least partially melted second layer and the reinforcement sheet to each other so as to form the panel. Additionally, the reinforcement sheet and the first layer are adhered to each other by pressing them together after at least partially melting the thermoplastic material of the first layer, but before applying the second layer of thermoplastic material onto the reinforcement sheet.

An underlay cushioning sheet that is arranged on the surface of a foundation and that has a waterproof coating film formed thereon. The underlay cushioning sheet includes a cushioning layer having an overlay surface and a curing acceleration layer having a coating film formation surface on the opposite side from the overlay surface. A waterproof coating film including a polyurethane resin is formed on the coating film formation surface of the curing acceleration layer by applying a one pack-type liquid waterproofing material. The curing acceleration layer includes a reactive material capable of reacting with the liquid waterproofing material. The reactive material either (1) includes a functional group capable of reacting with an isocyanate included in the liquid waterproofing material or (2) reacts with a latent curing agent included in the liquid waterproofing material and generates a functional group capable of reacting with the components of the liquid waterproofing material.
