VENEERED ELEMENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SUCH A VENEERED ELEMENT
A veneered element, including a substrate, a wood veneer layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface being opposite to the second surface, an adhesive layer adapted to adhere the first surface of the wood veneer layer to a surface of the substrate, wherein adhesive from the adhesive layer is present in a first portion of the wood veneer layer, extending from the first surface of the wood veneer layer into the wood veneer layer, and wherein the second surface of the wood veneer layer is substantially free from adhesive from the adhesive layer. Also, a method of producing such a veneered element).
CELLULAR STRUCTURES WITH TWELVE-CORNERED CELLS
A cellular structure may include a plurality of cells each having a twelve-cornered cross section. The twelve-cornered cross section may include twelve sides and twelve corners creating nine internal angles and three external angles. Each cell may include a plurality of longitudinal walls extending between a top and a bottom of the cell, the longitudinal walls intersecting to create corners of the cell. A structural component may include at least one wall surrounding a component interior space with a cellular structure having at least two cells positioned within the interior space. A sandwich structure may include first and second planar structures, and a cellular structure positioned between the first and second substantially planar structures.
Panel edge enclosures
The present invention contemplates a method for enclosing a panel edge comprising forming a panel structure having at least one edge, applying a reformable epoxy resin material onto the at least one edge, and contacting the reformable epoxy resin material within about 10 minutes, or even about 5 minutes of applying the reformable epoxy resin material such that the reformable epoxy resin material is below its glass transition temperature and dry to the touch upon contact.
Cover with wear detection properties
A cover includes a wear detection component. The wear detection component includes a wear layer and a visual wear indicator. The wear layer is designed and configured to reduce its thickness to a threshold thickness, or to disintegrate, after a preselected number of cleanings have been experience by the cover. The visual wear indicator is configured to indicate to the user that the cover has been through a threshold number of cleanings. When the wear layer has reduced its thickness to the threshold thickness, or has disintegrated, the wear layer reveals the visual wear indicator, indicating to the user that the cover is ready for replacement.
Melamine decorative laminated sheet
A melamine decorative laminated sheet has a melamine resin layer and a low refractive index layer which is formed upper than the melamine resin layer and has a lower refractive index than a refractive index of the melamine resin layer.
Air Cushion Structure
An air cushion structure includes an upper surface layer, an upper pull strap, an upper isolating layer, a lower isolating layer, a lower pull strap, and a lower surface layer. A plurality of upper air chambers are formed between the upper surface layer and the upper pull strap. A plurality of lower air chambers are formed between the lower pull strap and the lower surface layer. A plurality of middle air chambers are formed between the upper isolating layer and the lower isolating layer. Thus, the air cushion structure contains multiple air chambers to provide a better support, and to provide a warming effect.
BONDED VENEER WITH SIMULATED WOOD GRAIN AND TEXTURE, BONDED VENEER PANELS AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A simulated wood veneer product is disclosed. The simulated wood veneer product includes a paper substrate and an imprintable wood fiber material applied to one side of the paper substrate. The imprintable wood fiber material provides the paper substrate with depth and allows the paper to receive and retain an imprinted wood grain texture. Once imprinted, the veneer product is printed with a simulated wood grain pattern to create a realistic simulated veneer product which is referred to herein as a “bonded veneer”. The bonded veneer product can then be adhered to a structural or composite wood panel, such as an MDF panel, to create a simulated wood veneer panel which can be used in the construction of furniture products.
Fire-retardant edge material for panels, corresponding sandwich panel, and fire-retardant cover layer
The invention relates to an edge material for panels, the edge material being constructed from a plurality of bonded layers. The edge material comprises a first layer, which is non-metallic, and a core layer, which is made of at least one metal layer. The edge material also comprises a second layer, which is non-metallic. Furthermore, the invention relates to a corresponding sandwich panel and to a corresponding cover layer for panels.
Void cells with outwardly curved surfaces
Implementation described and claimed herein include a cushioning structure and method for manufacturing a cellular cushioning system, which allows for maximum comfort through the compression and shock cycle. Specifically, a cushioning structure comprises void cells formed in an array, which comprise multiple outwardly curved surfaces, with varying radius measurements. Stiffness in the void cells can vary by varying the Radii. Outwardly curved surfaces prevent buckling and provide support for high impact by absorbing energy.
Extrusion-coated structural members having extruded profile members
The present disclosure relates to extrusion-coated structural systems including at least one extruded profile member coupled to and extending outwardly from an extrusion-coated structural member, as well as methods of making and using the same. Structural systems of the present invention that include at least one extruded profile member may exhibit enhanced flexibility, functionality, and/or durability. Structural systems according to embodiments of the present invention can be suitable for use in a variety of applications, including in ready-to-assemble furniture or cabinetry applications or as building and construction materials such as wall board, flooring, trim, and the like.
