Method for manufacturing a reflective laminate insulating assembly
An insulated HVAC duct component such as a transition box includes a first insulation layer and a second, different insulation layer. The transition box includes at least four sidewalls and one of a top and a back wall, the transition box further including a first access port and a second access port, the first access port having a different cross section than the second access port, one of the access ports being spaced from a nearest sidewall by less than 2 inches. The first insulation layer is located along an inside surface of the box. The second different insulation layer overlies the first insulation layer, the second different insulation layer having an air impervious surface, wherein the combined thickness of the first insulation layer and the second different insulation layer is less than 2 inches.
LAMINATE FOR VACUUM INSULATION MATERIAL
It is provided that an exterior material for vacuum insulation material which can suppress the generation of pinholes due to piercing of needle-like short fiber powder even when needle-like fiber powder such as cut of inorganic fiber such as glass wool is filled, and which has little deterioration in strength even when used for a long time. A exterior body for vacuum insulation material. comprises at least a base layer and a sealant layer, wherein the base layer has the following features (a) to (c), and the base layer is a biaxially stretched polybutylene terephthalate film having a thickness of 10 to 30 m.
(a) containing 60-90% by weight of polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) and 10-40% by weight of polyester resin (B) other than the polybutylene terephthalate resin (A).
(b) an intrinsic viscosity of not less than 0.81 dl/g.
(c) piercing strength of not less than 0.5 N/m.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL STEEL SHEET
A composite material steel sheet comprises: at least one steel sheet, and a resin-impregnated paper composite layer, wherein the resin-impregnated paper composite layer may comprise stacked sheets of paper, and impregnated resin provide adhesion between the sheets of paper in contact with each other.
MULTILAYER STRUCTURE, PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
The invention relates to a multilayer structure comprising at least three layers and to a method for the production and use thereof.
SURFACE-TREATED METAL PLATE FOR POLYOLEFIN RESIN BONDING AND COMPOSITE MEMBER USING SAME
The present invention relates to a surface-treated metal sheet for polyolefin resin bonding having a metal substrate and an adhesive layer laminated on at least one surface of the metal substrate with a chemical conversion coating film interposed between the metal substrate and the adhesive layer. This surface-treated metal sheet for polyolefin resin bonding is characterized in that a coating liquid for forming the chemical conversion coating film contains an acid-modified polyolefin resin, a colloidal silica, and a silane coupling agent; a coating amount of the chemical conversion coating film is 0.05 to 3 g/m.sup.2 in terms of dry mass; the adhesive layer contains an acid-modified polyolefin resin; and the adhesive layer has a thickness of 5 to 100 m.
Nonwoven Fabric and Composite Sound-Absorbing Material Using Same as Skin Material
Provided is a nonwoven fabric and a laminated nonwoven fabric suitable as the skin material of a composite sound-absorbing material. The nonwoven fabric and laminated nonwoven fabric are easily formable, thin, and lightweight and excel in form stability, and can nevertheless be controlled within a given range of aeration after being formed into shape. A nonwoven fabric having a laminate structure in which at least one ultra-fine fiber layer (M) having an average fiber diameter of 0.3 to 7 m (inclusive) and a basis weight of 1 g/m.sup.2 to 40 g/m.sup.2 (inclusive) and at least one continuous filament layer (S) having an average fiber diameter of 10 to 30 m (inclusive) are integrated together by partial thermocompression bonding.
LAMINATED GLASS ARTICLE WITH APERTURE FORMED THEREIN AND METHODS FOR FORMING THE SAME
A glass article (100) includes a core layer (102) formed from a core glass composition with a core coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and first (104) and second (106) cladding layers fused to first and second major surfaces of the core layer (102) and formed from a clad glass composition comprising a clad CTE. An aperture (120) extends through each of the core layer (102), the first cladding layer (104), and the second cladding layer (106). The clad CTE is less than the core CTE such that each of the first (104) and second (106) cladding layers is under a compressive stress and the core layer (102) is under a tensile stress. A flexural strength of the glass article (100) can be at least about 75 MPa.
