Multi-Purpose Sticker
A multi-purpose sticker for decorating and sealing an envelope and also for attaching the sealed envelope to a package, such as a gift. The multi-purpose sticker generally includes a double-sided adhesive layer hidden below a decorative covering. With the decorative cover in place, one side of the double-sided adhesive of the sticker can be used to seal an envelope, and the sticker serves as a decorative sticker. If desired, the decorative cover can be peeled off to expose an adhesive in order to affix the sealed envelope to a package.
Tamper-Evident Label
A label is provided with a warning layer coating integrated or applied to a front side of the label. The warning layer coating is not activated by application of heat; rather, the warning layer coating activates upon a directional force (vertical or horizontal puffing) applied to the label after the label was initially adhered to a container, bag, box, and/or object. Upon activation, visible color or a printed warning indicia is visible on a front surface of the label, providing evidence that the label was removed after initial application or providing evidence that the label was attempted to be removed after initial application.
Amorphous copolymerized polyester raw material for film, heat-shrinkable polyester-based film, heat-shrinkable label, and packaged product
The invention provides an amorphous copolymerized polyester raw material for a film. The raw material contains ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent component, and contains from 18% by mol to 30% by mol of neopentyl glycol when a total amount of a glycol component in a total polyester resin component is taken as 100% by mol. The raw material contains from 8% by mol to 16% by mol of a constituent unit derived from diethylene glycol in the total amount (100% by mol) of the glycol component in the total polyester resin component. The raw material has an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.70 dl/g to 0.86 dl/g. The raw material has a melt viscosity of 200 Pa.Math.S or less, when measured at a shear rate of 6080/S at 250° C.
OPTICAL SECURITY FEATURE WITH EMBOSSED APPEARANCE
An optical security feature comprising a visually deformable layer disposed between two polymer layers, which are fused together by heating, thereby yielding an embossed appearance to the visually deformable layer.
CAVITATED POLYOLEFIN FILMS AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION THEREOF
Provided is a feedstock comprising a polyolefin homopolymer such as polypropylene, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and a pigment having a refractive index of at least 1.5 complexed by maleic anhydride functionalized polypropylene (MAH-PP). Further provided are polyolefin films having a cavitated layer comprising the feedstock and methods of making such films.
RECYCLABLE LABELS
A wrap-around label configured to be affixed to an article made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and collected as recycled PET. The wrap-around label may further include a washable ink that is configured to be removed prior to collection of the wrap-around label as recycled PET. The wrap-around label may also include an adhesive that is configured to dissolve or disperse in a caustic bath. In some embodiments, the wrap-around label may function as a pressure-sensitive label (PSL). A method for preparing a wrap-around label that is configured to be affixed to an article made of PET and collected as recycled PET.
Resin composition, heat-shrinkable film, and container
The heat-shrinkable film includes a block copolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-derived structural unit and a conjugated diene-derived structural unit as a main component.
Printable film
An extruded multilayer film includes a top layer comprising a blend of a polyolefin and adsorbent silica. The adsorbent silica is 5% or more of the blend and the polyolefin is 95% or less of the blend. The multilayer film is oriented in at least one direction to cause fracturing of the top layer to provide a microporous surface exposing the adsorbent silica gel. The fractured top layer is receptive to receiving a printing ink on an exposed surface thereof with enhanced pigment entrapment and rapid ink drying. A single layer film in the form of the top layer, and also oriented in at least one direction also constitutes a part of this invention.
MULTI-LAYER PRINTING SUBSTRATE WITH HIDDEN INFORMATION
A security paper, having a first paper ply and a second paper ply, and a plastic ply made of a thermoplastic polymer material arranged between the paper layers (1, 2), wherein a strip-shaped tear-off film is embedded between the paper layers on the inner side of the second paper layer and at least partially embedded into the plastic layer. Hidden information is arranged on the inner side of the first paper ply and is covered by the strip-shaped tear-off film or is arranged on the surface of the strip-shaped tear-off film facing the first paper ply. The hidden information can be exposed by the strip-shaped tear-off film together with a strip of the second paper ply being irreversibly torn off the multi-layer substrate.
Composite biofabricated material
The invention is directed to a composite material comprising a biofabricated material and a secondary component. The secondary component may be a porous material, such as a sheet of paper, cellulose, or fabric that has been coated or otherwise contacted with the biofabricated material. The biofabricated material comprises a uniform network of crosslinked collagen fibrilsand provides strength, elasticity and an aesthetic appearance to the composite material.
