FILM INCLUDING HYBRID SOLVENT BARRIER AND PRIMER LAYER
Conformable, stretchable, printable films are described. In particular, films that include a film substrate, a pressure sensitive adhesive, and a hybrid solvent barrier/primer layer including a blend of two copolyamides that are not miscible are described. Such hybrid solvent barrier and primer layers may be effective as both a solvent barrier and a primer layer.
Code-shield label
A label including a first strip including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first strip includes an opaque material. The first strip further includes a first area proximate the first end. The first area includes a first length along a longitudinal axis common to the first strip. The label also includes a second strip including a third end and a fourth end opposite the third end, wherein the second strip includes a transparent material. The second strip is laminated over the first strip such that the third end is disposed outside the first area. The fourth end extends beyond the second end a distance at least equal to the first length.
Peel-off detection label
The invention relates to a peel detection label that is a laminate including a support, a pattern layer formed in a part of the surface of the support, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive laminate having at least a low modulus layer (X), a high modulus layer (Y) and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (Z) in that order, in which the low modulus layer (X) has an n-layered structure (where n is an integer of 1 to 10) having a surface in contact with the support and the pattern layer and a surface in contact with the high modulus layer (Y), and the low modulus layer (X) satisfies a specific thickness-average shear storage elastic modulus.
Paper label with polymer film reinforcement and method of manufacture
A method for manufacturing a roll of stock material for making a label having a shelf portion with pressure sensitive adhesive and a bib portion with deadened adhesive is provided. The shelf portion includes a layer of polymer. A continuous layer of paper is bonded to a continuous layer of polymer with applied strips of catalyzed adhesive from a roller. Unbonded strips of polymer are kiss-cut and removed to expose the paper between bonded strips of polymer. A continuous layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is applied over the polymer and exposed paper. Strips of deadening agent are applied over the layer of pressure sensitive adhesive that overlays the exposed paper. The pressure sensitive adhesive and deadening agent are cured and a release layer is applied over them.
A LABEL FOR A TYRE OF VEHICLE WHEELS, A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAID LABEL AND A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A TYRE INCLUDING SAID LABEL
A label (1; 50) for a tyre (100) of vehicle wheels comprises: an external surface (2) which is intended to remain visible when said label (1; 50) is coupled to a sidewall (102) of the tyre, an internal surface (3) which is opposite the external surface (2), a plurality of recesses (10) which are formed at the external surface (2) and which are not open at said internal surface (3) and which are capable of generally defining at least one portion of information which is set out on the label. The plurality of recesses (10) are formed on a first layer (4) of the label (1; 50) which is made of an elastomer material which is compatible with the elastomer material of the sidewall (102). The first layer (4) is partially vulcanized and has a degree of vulcanization corresponding to a value between T.sub.30 and T.sub.60.
SELF-ADHESIVE MULTI-LAYER ITEM AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A self-adhesive multi-layer item comprising:
1) a dorsal support DO having a top face SI1 and a bottom face SI2,
2) at least one layer of silicone release coating RC applied to the top face SI1 of the dorsal support DO and which is prepared by irradiation of a curable silicone composition C not containing any solvent and comprising, as constituents:
a) at least one functionalized organopolysiloxane A
b) an effective amount of at least one type I photoinitiator P of the family of acylphosphine oxide derivatives of formula (III)
3) at least one adhesive PSA, preferably at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive PSA, applied on the layer of silicone release coating,
4) a frontal support FR applied on the adhesive PSA of the component 3), and 5) optionally at least one layer of silicone release coating RC applied on the bottom face SI2 of the dorsal support DO and which is prepared by application and irradiation of said curable silicone composition C, and on this same layer, there is at least one adhesive PSA, preferably at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive PSA.
Home Compostable Label
The present disclosure relates to a home compostable label and its facestock, and a method for manufacturing such label and facestock. The facestock comprises a core layer comprising a top surface, a bottom surface, and a core compostable material; and a first skin layer comprising a first compostable material, said first skin layer being positioned proximate to at least a portion of the top surface of the core layer.
DURABLE PRINTABLE LABEL FILM
Embodiments relate to a film comprising a base layer comprising a biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP); a coating layer comprising a polyester, an acrylic, and a crosslinker; and a primer; wherein the film has a haze change, measured according to ASTM D1003, before exposure to boiling water for 30 minutes and after exposure to boiling water for 30 minutes of 4 units or less.
HEAT-SENSITIVE LABEL
A heat-sensitive label that can achieve both sufficient adhesive strength and high recyclability is provided. A heat-sensitive label comprising a substrate layer and a heat sealing layer (A) on the substrate layer, wherein the heat sealing layer (A) comprises a heat sealing resin and a carboxylic anhydride-modified polyolefin resin (h); and a product MCh of an acid value M (mgKOH/g) of the carboxylic anhydride-modified polyolefin resin (h) and a content Ch (% by mass) of the carboxylic anhydride-modified polyolefin resin (h) in the heat sealing layer (A) is 1.5 to 6.0.
MARKER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MARKER, AND DETECTION TARGET
A high-precision marker, which is easy to manufacture, has a base material layer, a first layer which is laminated onto one surface of the base material layer, and which is observed in a first color, and a second layer which is partially laminated onto the first layer, is observed in a second color different from the first color, and partially conceals the first layer, wherein the first layer is observable in a region in which the second layer is not laminated, and the second layer is formed by a resist material.
