PROTECTIVE FILM AND SHEET
A protective film that includes at least one of a transparent polyolefin resin layer and a surface protection layer, and that has excellent weather resistance and a low level of white turbidity, which is a factor that impairs design properties; and a sheet using the protective film. The protective film comprises at least a transparent polyolefin resin layer, wherein the transparent polyolefin resin layer contains a first hydroxyphenyltriazine-based ultraviolet absorber (UVA-A) having a structure represented by the general formula below. In the general formula, R1-R3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, a phenyl group, or an alkoxy group, and at least two of R1-R3 are an alkoxy group having 8-18 carbon atoms, R4 and R5 each independently represent a hydroxyl group, a methyl group, or a hydrogen atom, and R6-R8 each independently represent a methyl group or a hydrogen atom.
Decorative laminates having an open-cell foam layer
Decorative laminates having an open-cell foam layer are disclosed herein. An example decorative laminate includes a decorative layer, an open-cell foam layer coupled to the decorative layer and an adhesive layer coupled to the open-cell foam layer.
Stairway safety device
A safety device includes a body configured for attachment to a structure. The body has a first layer and a second layer. The body is washable, reusable, and attachable to varying surface compositions. An indicia is formed in the first layer, the indicia providing visual stimuli for persons with impaired depth perception.
PVC compositions, films, laminates and related methods
Polyvinyl chloride compositions and films formed therefrom are described which exhibit improved printability and resistance to weathering. The compositions generally comprise polyvinyl chloride, at least one plasticizer, at least one heat stabilizer, certain UV stabilizer(s), and print additives and/or other agents. In particular versions, the compositions utilize a combination of polyvinyl chloride resins. Also described are various vinyl-based laminates using the films which can be for example reflective products. Also described are methods of producing the noted laminates.
MULTILAYER FILM AND MOLDED BODY PROVIDED WITH SAME
A multilayer film and a decorative film, each of which is excellent in chipping resistance, exhibits favorable adhesive properties to a variety of resin materials, such as polypropylene and ABS, and a molded body provided with such a film. The multilayer film includes three layers of an impact absorption layer (a), a base material layer (b), and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer (c) disposed in this order, wherein a thermoplastic polymer composition constituting the impact absorption layer (a) is composed of at least one block copolymer containing a polymer block (X) containing a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and a polymer block (Y) containing a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene compound, or a hydrogenated product thereof; and has a loss tangent (tan δ) at 11 Hz in a range of −50 to −20° C. of 3×10.sup.−2 or more.
PROTECTIVE FILM AND SHEET
A protective film containing a transparent polyolefin resin layer with improved or even superior weather resistance, and a sheet using the protective film. A protective film according to the present embodiment includes at least a transparent polyolefin resin layer. The transparent polyolefin resin layer contains a hindered amine light stabilizer represented by general formula (I) below in a range of 0.05 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of a transparent olefin resin included in the transparent polyolefin resin layer. (In general formula (I), R is an alkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl group having 5-8 carbon atoms.)
SELF-SEALING CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
A construction material that is a laminate including a nonwoven comprising a super absorbent material and a method of self-sealing liquid transport through the construction material in proximity to punctures in the laminate.
Pre-stressed plate or shell structures
A pre-stressed structure and a method for forming a pre-stressed structure are provided. The pre-stressed structure comprises a panel including a first region pre-stressed into a condition of membrane tension, resulting in the panel having increased transverse stiffness. The pre-stressed structure may further comprise a second region pre-stressed into a condition of membrane compression. The panel may be a plate or a shell and may form part of an insulating glass unit, which in turn may form part of a curtainwall unit.
SCRATCH RESISTANT FILM AND SURFACE COATING COMPOSITION
Object: The present disclosure provides a film having a low gloss appearance and excellent scratch resistance, and a surface coating composition that can be used in the production of such a film. Resolution Means: The film of one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a scratch resistant surface layer containing a binder containing a urethane resin, urethane resin beads having an average particle diameter of 3 m to 30 m, hard particles having an average particle diameter of 5 m to 45 m; and nanosilica particles. The surface layer contains the hard particles in an amount of 30 parts by mass to 500 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the binder. The gloss of the surface layer is approximately 5.5 GU or less at 60 degrees.
ANTIFOGGING LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ANTIFOGGING LAMINATE
An antifogging laminate includes a coating layer on a water absorbent film, in which a water absorption rate of the water absorbent film is 1% or more and 50% or less, and the coating layer contains a water absorbent resin and inorganic oxide particles.
