Light transparent fluoropolymer composition and article
Light transparent fluoropolymer composition having less than 2 percent haze, comprising at least one of alkali metal (e.g., lithium, sodium, and potassium) cation, alkali metal (e.g., lithium, sodium, and potassium) and a corresponding anion (e.g., CO.sub.3,OH, OOCCH.sub.3), alkaline earth metal cation (e.g., calcium, magnesium, strontium, and barium), or alkaline earth metal cation (e.g., calcium, magnesium, strontium, and barium) and a corresponding anion (e.g., CO.sub.3,OH, OOCCH.sub.3), wherein the light transparent fluoropolymer has at least 90% visible light transmission. Exemplary uses of light transparent fluoropolymer compositions described herein include as films (e.g., solar reflective films, solar transparent frontside photovoltaic films, commercial graphic overlay film, commercial graphic film, and tubing (e.g., transparent tubing for medical)).
HARD COAT LAMINATED FILM
According to at least one embodiment, there is provided a hard coat laminated film, including, from a surface layer side, a second hard coat, a first hard coat, and a transparent resin film layer, where the first hard coat and the transparent resin film layer are laminated directly, where the first hard coat is formed of a coating material including: (A) 100 parts by mass of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate; and (B) 1 to 100 parts by mass of an N-substituted (meth)acrylamide compound, where the second hard coat is formed of a coating material containing no inorganic particles, and where the transparent resin film is a transparent multilayer film or a transparent monolayer film made of a poly(meth)acrylimide resin, where the transparent multilayer film includes a surface layer made of a poly(meth)acrylimide resin, the first hard coat being formed on the surface layer.
Emblem for vehicles
An emblem for vehicles includes a substrate formed of a light-transmissive resin, the substrate having a proximal face and a distal face and a decoration layer applied to the proximal face, the decoration layer including a metalloid or a metalloid alloy deposited on the surface of the proximal face, a transparent frontal cover overlying the decoration layer, and a light source that illuminates the substrate, so that the light from the light source crosses the transparent frontal cover. This permits the emblem to maintain its metallic aspect in any lighting condition, so that the decorative function is be improved by adding illumination in appropriate conditions while preserving its 3-D image.
MUSEUM SHOWCASE HAVING A TRANSPARENT WALL PROVIDED WITH AN OPAQUE SHIELDING
Museum showcase with a case containing a separate exhibition space with respect to the external environment. The case includes at least one transparent wall provided with an opaque shielding. The transparent wall is layered and includes at least two glass slabs coupled to each other along respective proximal faces. The opaque shielding is applied to one of the two glass slabs, on the proximal face thereof. The opaque shielding is therefore completely contained between the two glass slabs.
Polymer Compositions Comprising Broad Molecular Weight Distribution Polypropylene and Articles Therefrom
A composition suitable for a film having a 1% secant flexural modulus (MD or TD) of at least 55,000 psi and a dart drop impact of at least 500 g is provided. The composition comprises a broad molecular weight distribution polypropylene with at least 50 mol % propylene and having: a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) greater than 6, a branching index (gvis) of at least 0.95, and a melt strength of at least 2 cN; and a polyethylene with at least 70 mol % ethylene and having: a density of from 0.910 to 0.923 g/cm.sup.3, a melt index (I.sub.2) of from 0.1 to 1.2 g/10 min, a melt index ratio (I.sub.21/I.sub.2) of from 20 to 35, a weight average molecular weight (M.sub.w) of from 150,000 to 400,000 g/mol, and an orthogonal comonomer distribution and/or at least a first peak and at least a second peak in a comonomer distribution analysis.
Display element with transition lamination of partial films and coatings
A display element having a display symbol arrangement, includes a carrier layer on a visible side, at least one display layer arranged on the side facing away from the visible side and one cover layer arranged on the carrier layer and the display layer. The transitions between the display layer and the cover layer are laminated in such a manner that the different layers form a common surface having the same optical effect and without hard edges at their transitions.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND MESSAGE TRANSMISSION METHOD
A display device includes a light source irradiating excitation light and a window glass for a vehicle, such as a windshield, capable of emitting visible light through incident radiation of the excitation light, and allows the window glass for a vehicle to emit the light so as to display a message toward an outside of the vehicle by irradiation with the excitation light.
Low gloss laminated article
A fabric with a laminated adhesive-backed protective layer. The adhesive-backed protective layer has a matte finish that is low gloss and may approximate the fabric itself.
Methods and apparatus to remove gas and vapor from a panel for a decorative layer
Methods and apparatus to remove gas and vapor from a panel for a decorative layer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first press plate of a hot press to engage a first surface of a panel. The hot press is to apply heat to the panel via the first press plate to cure resin of the panel. A first portion of the first press plate is composed of a permeable material to remove at least one of gas or vapor from the panel to deter the at least one of gas or vapor from exerting a pressure on a decorative layer to be coupled to the panel to deter separation of a portion of the decorative layer from the panel.
PAVEMENT COMMUNICATION PLATFORM AND METHODS FOR USE THEREOF
A pavement communication platform is disclosed herein, as well as methods of using the same. A benefit to the pavement communication platform can be providing information, such as advertisements or instructions, to the public in connection with a pavement platform.
