FIRE BARRIER FOR WALL SHEATHING MATERIALS
20180002921 · 2018-01-04 ·

A sheathing material includes a layer of ceramic paper to help prevent the burning of the sheathing during a fire. The material may include insulation disposed between the ceramic paper and the substrate to further reduce damage to the substrate, and may include a thin layer of wood or paper placed over the ceramic paper to protect the ceramic paper and to allow the sheathing to be used in a manner similar to that of a conventional sheathing material.

FLOORING FOR VEHICLE DECKS AND MANUFACTURING HOUSING
20180001936 · 2018-01-04 ·

A flooring product has multiple planar single piece substrate components, each with opposing straight longitudinal and lateral edges. A first lateral edge of a second of the substrate components abuts a first lateral edge of a first of the substrate components to form a common seam. The first and second of the substrate components are adjacent relative to a sequential array of multiple substrate components running parallel to the pair of longitudinal edges. The product has a pair of laminate component affixed to each side of each of the substrate components continuously over the sequential array thereof. The laminate components strengthen the product in relation to bearing a load applied to the second surface thereof and each of the common seams. The flooring product may be cut to lengths for accommodating overall lengths of recreational vehicles, trailers or manufactured housing units and thus reduces manufacturing costs associated therewith.

Component with Surface Structure Generated by Embossing and Method for the Production Thereof
20180001696 · 2018-01-04 · ·

The invention relates to a component having a plate-shaped or profile-shaped support and a decorative surface layer connected to the support, the surface layer being formed of thermally curable resin and comprising a three-dimensional surface structure that is produced by embossing and is irregular. According to the invention, in order to inexpensively obtain a decorative surface which has good wear resistance and largely prevents disturbing finger prints, the surface structure comprises regions that are alternately ordered and non-ordered and that are formed by a ribbed and/or grooved structure, ordered regions having parallel and/or quasi-parallel ribs and/or parallel and/or quasi-parallel grooves being interrupted by non-ordered regions or structural breaks, and the width of the respective rib or groove being in the range of from 0.5 μm to 100 μm. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing a component of this type using a corresponding embossing tool is disclosed and claimed.

SEALING SHEET AND ADHESIVE TAPE FOR WET ROOMS
20180002574 · 2018-01-04 · ·

A sealing for arrangement between a wall and a wall covering includes a sealing sheet and an adhesive tape. The sealing sheet and the adhesive tape each have a carrier layer of a preferably closed-cell foam plastic. Furthermore, the sealing sheet can bear a nonwoven fabric preferably on the wall-facing side, wherein border strips remain free of the nonwoven fabric for underlapping with an adhesive tape.

RECONFIGURABLE WALL PANELS

Reinforced panels include a layer of glass joined to a substrate to support the glass. Connectors are joined to the side of the substrate opposite the glass to enable the reinforced panel to be configured with and/or attached to a modular wall system. The glass can be backpainted prior to joining to the substrate, and/or a film can be included in the reinforced tile disposed between the glass panel and the substrate. A reinforced panel includes a conductive material disposed between a glass layer and a substrate to form a touch-responsive section. One or more intermediate layers disposed between the glass layer and the substrate are included. The one or more intermediate layers have sufficient elastic deformability so as to enable the reinforced panel to tolerate differences in thermal expansion between the substrate and the glass layer without resulting in cracking of the glass layer.

FIBER-REIMFORCED MOLDED BODIES MADE OF EXPANDED PARTICLE FOAM MATERIAL

The present invention relates to a molding made of expanded bead foam, wherein at least one fiber (F) is partly within the molding, i.e. is surrounded by the expanded bead foam. The two ends of the respective fibers (F) that are not surrounded by the expanded bead foam thus each project from one side of the corresponding molding. The present invention further provides a panel comprising at least one such molding and at least one further layer (S1). The present invention further provides processes for producing the moldings of the invention from expanded bead foam or the panels of the invention and for the use thereof, for example as rotor blade in wind turbines.

Polyester Laminated Building Boards With Improved Surface Characteristics

This disclosure relates to using polyester films on building boards to enable improved surface coatings. The polyester film is preferably applied to a glass mat via an adhesive to form a laminate. This laminate is then bonded to the exterior surface of a gypsum board. The polyester film is advantageous because it allows for exterior surface coatings to be applied. In one embodiment, an exterior acrylic coating is applied to the polyester film. Boards constructed in accordance with this disclosure allow for exterior finishings to be achieved without the need for excessive finishing materials or steps.

Construction element having cover plates and tube segments made of a wood-based material

The invention relates to a construction element (10) having a total length (L), a total width (B) and a total height (H) and comprising the following components: a first cover plate (11) and a second cover plate (12), each having a length corresponding to the total length (L), and each having a width corresponding to the total width (B), a layer (13) arranged between the first and the second cover plate (11,12), comprising a plurality of tube segments (14) having a tube length (LR) extending in longitudinal extension direction, wherein the tube segments (14) are arranged in the direction of the total length (L) and/or in the direction of the total width (B) in relation to the tube length (LR), and wherein the tube segments (14) comprise a wood-based material, and wherein the tube segments (14) comprise a wall (140), which is delimited by at least two cut ends (141,142) in the circumferential direction of the respective tube segment (14), wherein the tube length (LR) corresponds to the total length (L) and/or the total width (B).
