PRINTING PADS AND PRINT PAD MACHINES
A printing pad machine that can print a 360 degree image on a cylindrical object. That objective is achieved by modifying a conventional printing pad machine. The modifications include using a single angled print pad having a contact wall having a first height, a lower wall having a second height that is less than the first height, an angled surface interconnecting the contact wall's distal end and the lower wall's distal end, and a base wall interconnecting the contact wall's proximal end and the lower wall's proximal end and connectable to a base. Another modification includes a flexion-extension hinge positioned between the support member and the base or the support member and the overhead gantry and controlled by the adjustable and moveable actuator system and power source. That objective can be accomplished with the conventional printing pad machine using the single angled print pad.

A printing pad machine that can print a 360 degree image on a cylindrical object. That objective is achieved by modifying a conventional printing pad machine having a support member—interconnected to an overhead gantry—and an adjustable and moveable actuator system and power source. The modifications include using a single angled print pad having a contact wall having a first height, a lower wall having a second height that is less than the first height, an angled surface interconnecting the contact wall's distal end and the lower wall's distal end, and a base wall (a) interconnecting the contact wall's proximal end and the lower wall's proximal end and (b) connectable to a base. Another modification includes a flexion-extension hinge positioned between (a) the support member and the base or (b) the support member and the overhead gantry and controlled by the adjustable and moveable actuator system and power source. That objective can be accomplished with the conventional printing pad machine using the single angled print pad. Both objectives can also be accomplished by adding ridges to the single angled print pad.
UV-curable ink composition, method for producing bezel pattern of display substrate using same, and bezel pattern produced thereby
The present invention relates to a UV-curable ink composition, a method for producing a bezel pattern of a display substrate using same, and a bezel pattern produced thereby, the UV-curable ink composition comprising a colorant, an epoxy resin, an oxetane resin, a photopolymerization initiator, and a surfactant comprising a polar functional group, wherein the content ratio of the epoxy resin to the oxetane resin is 1:0.5-1:6.
MOUNTING DEVICE FOR RECEIVING A HOLLOW CYLINDRICAL OBJECT AND PRINTING SYSTEM
A mounting device for holding a hollow cylindrical object, particularly a screw cap, in a printing system, comprises a support member, and a mandrel for receiving a hollow cylindrical object arranged at the support member, and a heating device for heating the hollow cylindrical object mounted at the mandrel. A printing system for printing on hollow cylindrical objects, preferably screw caps, comprises at least one mounting device, and at least one printhead configured to print on surfaces of cylindrical objects, preferably screw caps.
CAP LOGO APPLICATOR
A cap logo applicator, and method of fabricating, includes a first mandrel having a front and a back, the first mandrel having a curved, non-cylindrical surface, and a relief space in the back such that when a cap is positioned on the first mandrel, a front of the cap is in contact with the non-cylindrical surface and a top of the cap extends over the relief space, and a second mandrel opposing the first mandrel and configured to apply pressure to the first mandrel. At least one of the first mandrel and the second mandrel includes a heater.
Systems and methods for printing patterns using near infrared upconverting inks
The present invention relates generally to using upconverting inks for producing highly-resolved patterns for inter alia, security applications. More specifically, the present invention relates to the use of sols (inks) and printing processes that produce well-defined printed features consisting of polymers impregnated with luminescent upconversion nanocrystals. The patterns printed using such inks and processes may exhibit defined shapes, characters of text, and various other types of images.
