PRINTING PRESS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PRINTED PRODUCTS
20210309005 · 2021-10-07 ·

A printing press has at least one printing unit that comprises one or more printing couples, by the use of which printing press, sheet- format substrate can be printed on at least one side in at least one printing nip. The printing press has at least one product receiving unit, in which the printed sheet- format substrate can be collected to form bundles of products or intermediate products. A rotatable cooling cylinder, for guiding or conveying the sheet- format substrate, is located upstream of the product receiving unit in the substrate path. At least one first electrode is arranged on, and is directed towards the substrate path section that runs over a circumferential section of the cooling cylinder. When an electric voltage is applied to the substrate path, substrate being guided along the substrate path past the electrode is or can be electrostatically charged.

SHEET PROCESSING MACHINE WITH SHAPING DEVICE AND UPPER SUCTION TRANSPORT MEANS
20210309007 · 2021-10-07 ·

A sheet processing machine has at least one shaping device and at least one sheet delivery unit, arranged downstream of the at least one shaping device along a transport path provided for a transport of sheets. The at least one shaping device has at least one shaping point which is formed by at least one forme cylinder, on one hand, and at least one impression cylinder, on the other hand. At least one separation device, for removing scrap pieces from sheets, is arranged downstream of the at least one shaping point along the transport path provided for the transport of sheets. The at least one separation device has at least one separation transport device. At least one transport device, configured as a selective transport device, is arranged following the at least one separation transport device along the transport path provided for the transport of sheets. The transport device is configured as at least one upper suction transport device for a hanging transport of sheets.

Apparatus and method for the optional cross-folding of sequentially printed sheets or signatures
11034542 · 2021-06-15 · ·

An apparatus and method for optional cross-folding of successively following, sequentially printed sheets on a first transport segment. A compressed air device comprises a first control element that is connected to a control unit for triggering or suppressing a compressed air blast from at least one exit opening in the compressed air device. A printed sheet is diverted into a second transport segment for the folding operation or a third transport segment for bypassing the folding operation. The latter empties downstream of folding rolls into the second transport segment at a joint segment point, at which a fourth transport segment adjoins in downstream direction. The third transport segment is longer than the second transport segment or can be operated at a lower speed than the second transport segment such that a first sequence of printed sheets successively following on the first transport segment is identical to a second sequence of the successively following printed sheets located on the fourth transport segment.

METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND CATEGORIZING AT LEAST ONE SUBSTRATE, AND SUBSTRATE CATEGORIZING MACHINE
20210170783 · 2021-06-10 ·

The invention relates to a method for separating and categorizing at least one substrate (02; 03) that originates from a sheet source (47) or is transported in the form of a material web (02) to a cross-cutting apparatus and is separated into a multiplicity of sheets (03) there, wherein the respective sheets (03) are inspected in respective inspection operations with regard to at least one property that the substrate (02; 03) already had before the particular separating operation or severing operation, and wherein the sheets (03) are each assigned to one of at least three categories in an assigning operation on the basis of the result of the inspection carried out in the particular inspection operation, and wherein each of the sheets (03) is deposited on a delivery pile (06; 07; 08) corresponding to its category, and to a substrate categorizing machine (01), which has a sheet source (47) or a material-web source (09) and a cross-cutting device (11), wherein the substrate categorizing machine (01) has, downstream of the sheet source (47) or downstream of the cross-cutting device (11), a sheet transport device (12) having a gripper system (13), and an inspection device (14; 16; 17; 18), and, downstream of the inspection device (14; 16; 17; 18), a delivery apparatus (19), which has at least three depositing stations (21; 22; 23).

Substrate-feeding device and a sheet-processing machine

A substrate-feeding device has at least two acceleration devices, which are arranged one beside the other, beneath a storage region, and having a framework and a lifting frame, which lifting frame can be moved relative to the framework. The at least two acceleration devices are arranged for movement jointly with one another, and with the lifting frame. Each of the acceleration devices has at least one body of rotation, which is driven via a common shaft which has at least two shaft portions arranged one behind the other. Directly adjacent shaft portions are arranged in a state in which they are connected in each case, via a coupling. There are subassemblies provided which each have a deflecting device, a shaft portion and at least one transporting belt and which are each one of fastened on the lifting frame, and are arranged for movement jointly with the lifting frame and are connected to one another by virtue of their shaft portions being connected via couplings to form the common shaft. The invention also relates to a sheet-processing machine.
