There are provided a characteristic table generation system and so on capable of enhancing the convenience of the user. The characteristic table generation system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a system for generating a predictive voltage characteristic table for defining a predictive characteristic curve, the system including a data acquisition section configured to obtain a measured viscosity characteristic table defining a measured characteristic curve between viscosity and temperature of the liquid, and a predetermined parameter separately, as input data, a conversion coefficient generation section configured to generate a conversion coefficient used when performing a conversion process from the measured characteristic curve into the predictive characteristic curve based on the predetermined parameter using a first analytical method as a predetermined analytical method which takes the predetermined parameter as an explanatory variable, and which takes the conversion coefficient as an objective variable, and a table generation section configured to perform the conversion process using the measured viscosity characteristic table and the conversion coefficient generated by the conversion coefficient generation section to thereby generate the predictive voltage characteristic table.

Offset printing utilizing image movement

A substrate is printed with front side and back side markings in a first color ink. The front side when viewed with reflected light includes a first marking printed in a first saturation and a first symbol printed in the first saturation. The back side when viewed with reflected light includes: a second marking printed in a second saturation; a second symbol printed in the second saturation; a third marking printed in the first saturation; and a third symbol printed in the first saturation. The first marking, the second marking, and the third marking are printed to provide an interlocking pattern of low saturation color and high saturation color when viewed with transmitted light. The second symbol is visible, and the first symbol and the second symbol are not distinguishably visible, when viewed with transmitted light.

REVERSE LASER WRITING AND TRANSFER PROCESS FOR DIGITAL OFFSET PRINTS

The present disclosure relates to a print process in which ink is transferred as a thin layer to a thin polymeric substrate and then the non-image areas of the polymeric substrate are laser-cured. After the curing of the non-imaged area the remaining ink (non-cured ink) undergoes complete transfer to a print-media-of-interest forming the digital print.

Anilox patterns and doctor blades for metering high viscosity pigmented inks

A chamber blade system maximizes ink flow at an anilox doctor blade by including a heating element adjacent the doctor blade to heat ink adjacent the blade. The heating element may be a heat strip next to an anilox doctor blade that heats the ink adjacent the doctor blade and temporarily reduces the ink viscosity to improve the flow of ink in the vicinity of the blade. Doctoring blades with a ceramic tip coating may be configured to allow a small amount of controlled ink flow through that can wet the lands thereby reducing the hydrodynamic back pressures and friction when trying to force the ink into anilox cells.

Ink feed systems and method for feeding printing ink to an inking unit of an intaglio printing unit, as well as intaglio printing unit and method for operating an ink feed system

In some examples, an ink feed system for providing and feeding printing ink to an inking unit of an intaglio printing unit includes an inking device in the inking unit for inking a first inking unit cylinder. A provision device includes a storage receptacle with an ink reservoir of printing ink that is fed via an outlet and a line to the inking device. Furthermore, a wall of the storage receptacle encompassing the outlet can be heated and/or a metering device may be provided in the line path to support and/or effectuate delivery of the printing ink from the storage receptacle. On an output side, the metering device may provide a mass flow or volume flow that correlates with a working speed of the metering device via a defined relationship, and the metering device may be connected to a control device to control the working speed of the metering device.

Inker assembly including oscillation rollers for a can body decorator

An oscillating roller system for a beverage can decorator is driven back and forth by a cam follower. A cam body having a cam is mounted to a frame of the inker system. Three oscillating cam roller assemblies are positioned about the cam body. Rotation of the cam oscillates the cam followers for each one of the oscillating rollers. Bearings of the oscillating roller assemblies includes an inlet gallery and outlet gallery for a closed loop lubrication system. The rollers are water cooled.
