Decorated sheets on the basis of cellulose non-woven fabrics, such as paper, for the production of decorated laminates are impregnated with synthetic resins. Consequently, their sizes are changed, they become brittle and are not water-resistant in the laminate. In the method according to the invention the printed or unprinted non-woven fabrics are impregnated with an aqueous dispersion of a polymer which is cross-linkable by UV radiation, dried and optionally printed and finally irradiated with UV radiation. The decorated sheets thus obtained are water-resistant in the laminate and can be coiled up and stored after each process step.

Liquid ejecting head, liquid ejecting apparatus, and wiring substrate

A liquid ejecting head includes a driving circuit configured to output a driving pulse; and a wiring substrate including a base body portion disposed between a flow path formation portion and the driving circuit, and a signal wiring formed on the base body portion and configured to transmit a driving signal for use in generation of the driving pulse by the driving circuit to the driving circuit from an input terminal. The signal wiring includes a first portion overlapping, in a plan view, at least one coupling terminal included in the driving circuit and coupled to the signal wiring, and a second portion located on the side of the input terminal when seen from the first portion, and the total number of wirings constituting the second portion is larger than the total number of wirings constituting the first portion.

Apparatus and Method for Printing Multilayer Organic Thin Films from Vapor Phase in an Ultra-Pure Gas Ambient

Systems and techniques for depositing organic material on a substrate are provided, in which one or more shield gas flows prevents contamination of the substrate by the chamber ambient. Thus, multiple layers of the same or different materials may be deposited in a single deposition chamber, without the need for movement between different deposition chambers, and with reduced chance of cross-contamination between layers.

Sensor-enabled activation of payment instruments

In some examples, a system and method for activating a payment instrument. The method includes leveraging an activation feature associated with a payment instrument. The representation, obtained by a sensor, of the activation feature is received by the payment processing system. The payment processing system compares the representation of the activation feature with stored activation features corresponding to a user associated with the payment instrument. If the representation matches a user-associated activation feature, the payment processing system activates the payment instrument, wherein activating further includes granting the recipient access to a predetermined amount of funds through the activated payment instrument.
