Method for transferring material with adhesive onto articles with a difference in degree of curing between the material and adhesive
Apparatuses and methods for applying a transfer material onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of transfer printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed and/or decorated thereby. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve providing a deposition device, such as a printing device; providing a transfer component; depositing a material onto a portion of the transfer component with the deposition device; modifying the portion of the transfer component with the transfer material thereon to conform the transfer component to at least a portion of the surface of the three-dimensional article; and transferring the transfer material onto the surface of the article.
Transfer film having a roller cleaning section
A transfer ribbon (120) includes at least one print section (198) and one or more roller cleaning sections (190). Each print section (198) includes a print intermediate. Each of the one or more roller cleaning sections (190) includes an adhesive layer (192). The one or more roller cleaning sections (190) include a roller cleaning section at a trailing end of the transfer ribbon, and/or a roller cleaning section at a leading end of the transfer ribbon.
Information processing device ordering cartridges for replacement with cartridges currently mounted in printing device
In an information processing device, a controller acquires a plurality of sets of first and second information corresponding to respective ones of a plurality of first cartridges and a plurality of second cartridges replaced with respective ones of the plurality of first cartridges. The controller sets an order level for a target first cartridge using target second information of a target second cartridge, and sets at least one replacement target cartridge including the target first cartridge using the plurality of sets of first information. The at least one replacement target cartridge includes M-number first cartridges if the order level is a first level selected when the target second information represents a final residual quantity of printing agent greater than a reference. The at least one replacement target cartridge includes N-number first cartridges if the order level is a second level. N is greater than or equal to M.
Optical scanning device and image forming apparatus
In an optical scanning device, a housing has a structure divided into an upper stage and a lower stage by a mounting plate on which a deflector, a first optical system and a second optical system are mounted. A first optical system reflection mirror and a second optical system reflection mirror are mounted in the other of the upper stage and the lower stage in which the deflector is not mounted. Each of the first optical system and the second optical system is disposed across a region including the upper stage and the lower stage. The first optical system reflection mirror and the second optical system reflection mirror are disposed with the deflector located therebetween. The first optical system reflection mirror is disposed on a side of the second optical system, and the second optical system reflection mirror is disposed on a side of the first optical system.
Printing apparatus that specifies a region of a transfer member having a poor surface condition and prohibits printing in the region, and related print control method
A printing apparatus includes a transfer member that rotates, a printhead configured to form an image on the transfer member, and a transfer unit configured to transfer, to a print medium, the image formed on the transfer member. A detection unit is configured to detect a surface condition of the transfer member, and a specifying unit is configured to specify a region of the transfer member in which the surface condition is poor, based on a detection result output by the detection unit. In addition, a prohibiting unit is configured to prohibit image formation by the printhead for the region of the transfer member, specified by the specifying unit, for which the surface condition is poor.
Light emitting device and image forming apparatus
A light emitting device includes: a base that extends in one direction, and has an opening; plural light emitting units that are disposed to be displaced from each other in the one direction on the front surface side of the base, the light emitting units each including a support that extends in the one direction, and plural light sources that are disposed in the one direction on the support; and an air blowing unit that blows air toward the light emitting units through the opening.

VECTOR SIGNALING CODE WITH IMPROVED NOISE MARGIN
Methods are described allowing a vector signaling code to encode multi-level data without the significant alphabet size increase known to cause symbol dynamic range compression and thus increased noise susceptibility. By intentionally restricting the number of codewords used, good pin efficiency may be maintained along with improved system signal-to-noise ratio.

Estimating a remaining amount of a consumable resource based on a center of mass calculation
Systems and method for estimating a remaining amount of a consumable resource are provided. According to one method, a first step of detecting the center of mass of a mobile printer is conducted, wherein the mobile printer comprises print media. The method may also include a step of determining a remaining print media level based on the detected center of mass.
