Method and compositions for applying a material onto articles
Apparatuses and methods for applying a transfer material from a transfer component onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of transfer printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed and/or decorated thereby. In some embodiments, the method may utilize a printer such as an inkjet printer. In some cases, the transfer material may be a UV curable ink and/or adhesive. When the transfer material is UV curable, the transfer component may be permeable to UV radiation to allow curing of the ink and/or adhesive therethrough. UV curable adhesives including thiol-acrylate and thiol-ene acrylate inkjet-able adhesives are disclosed.
Circular system and method for the digital correction of modulation effects in eletromechanical delta-sigma modulators
The present invention relates to a circuit arrangement and a method for reading a capacitive vibratory gyroscope with an at least primary mass and at least one secondary mass that is connected to the primary mass, wherein the primary mass is excited to a primary vibration during operation, and wherein the secondary mass is deflected out of a resting position in a direction that is transversal to the primary vibration when the vibratory gyroscope rotates around a sensitive axis. The circuit arrangement comprises a delta-sigma modulator with at least one control loop to perform a force feedback that resets the secondary mass into its resting state by applying a reset signal, wherein the reset signal forms a modulator output signal of the delta-sigma modulator, a correction unit that receives the modulator output signal and that is operated to generate a corrected modulator output signal that corresponds to an actually acting feedback force, a demodulator that is connected to the correction unit for demodulation of the corrected modulator output signal, and a filter arrangement to filter the demodulated signals and to output a rotary rate signal.
Method for transferring material with adhesive onto articles with a difference in degree of curing between the material and adhesive
Apparatuses and methods for applying a transfer material onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of transfer printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed and/or decorated thereby. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve providing a deposition device, such as a printing device; providing a transfer component; depositing a material onto a portion of the transfer component with the deposition device; modifying the portion of the transfer component with the transfer material thereon to conform the transfer component to at least a portion of the surface of the three-dimensional article; and transferring the transfer material onto the surface of the article.
Inkjet printed livery application process
A method of treating a contoured surface with surface treatment layer includes applying a surface preparation layer along the contoured surface and applying a basecoat layer on top of the surface preparation layer. The method further includes stabilizing the basecoat layer to prepare a basecoat surface along the basecoat layer for one or more subsequent layers of the surface treatment coating and jetting a decorative livery layer along the contoured surface using one or more ink jet print heads. The method further includes applying an adhesion promoter on top of the decorative livery layer and stabilizing the adhesion promoter layer to produce a desired bonding surface along the adhesion promoter layer. Additionally, the method includes applying a clear coat layer to cover the underlying decorative livery layer, the basecoat layer and the surface preparation layer.

HEATED PRESSURE ROLLER LAMINATORS
In one example, a heated pressure roller laminator can include lamination device, comprising: a heated pressure roller comprising a cylinder pressure roller and a heated belt roller to: receive a plurality of film materials at an input of the heated pressure roller and apply pressure and heat to the plurality of film materials to generate a laminate material.
System and method for verifying the cure of ultraviolet curable materials in a three-dimensional 3D object printer
A direct-to-object printer includes an ultraviolet (UV) curing verification subsystem. The verification subsystem includes a ribbon that frictionally engages an image on an object that contains UV curable material. An imaging device generates image data of the ribbon that engaged the image and the image data is processed to determine whether any uncured UV material is present on the ribbon.
