FLUID APPLICATION
Certain examples of apparatus for applying fluid in a printing system are described. The apparatus comprise a first chamber having a first aperture extending along a first axis, and a second chamber having a second aperture extending along a second axis, wherein the first axis is substantially parallel to the second axis. The second chamber is movable with respect to the first chamber. Also, methods for supplying a fluid, and printing systems are described.
DETERMINING INSUFFICIENT SUCTION FORCE
Provided in one example is a printing system. The system includes a printing zone including a platen (50). The system includes a drive to move a medium (58) through the printing zone. The system includes a suction force generator (78) to generate a suction force to hold down the medium onto the platen while the drive moves the medium through the printing zone. The system includes a sensor (52) to monitor the movement of the medium through the printing zone in a medium advance direction. The system includes a controller to determine that the suction force generated by the suction source generator is insufficient based on an output of the sensor.
CONVEYOR LINE SYSTEM AND SHIPPING CONTAINER
A conveyor line system including an image processing device configured to irradiate a recording part with laser light to perform at least one of image recording and image erasing, the conveyor line system being configured to manage at least one conveying container each including: the recording part in which the image recording is performed by irradiation with the laser light; and an image part in which a displayed image has been drawn, wherein a formula below is satisfied at a wavelength of the laser light with which the recording part is irradiated during the image recording: A+30>B where A denotes an absorbance of the recording part and B denotes an absorbance of the image part of the conveying container.
DROPLET DISCHARGING APPARATUS
A droplet discharging apparatus (10) includes a supporting section (20) including a supporting surface (21) that supports a medium M, a first head (81) including a first nozzle that discharges first liquid onto the medium supported by the supporting surface (21), a second head (82) including a second nozzle that discharges second liquid that promotes curing of the first liquid by reacting with the first liquid onto the medium M supported by the supporting surface (21), a carriage (83) that reciprocally travels in a width direction while holding the first head (81) and the second head (82), an air sending section (70) that generates airflow in the front direction in an discharging area facing the supporting surface, and a shielding section (85) that shields the airflow in the front direction in the discharging area R1.
PRINTER, PRINTING METHOD, AND INK
Both stability and high glossiness of a glossy ink used for printing can be achieved. A printer is provided that performs inkjet printing for a medium. The printer includes a glossy ink head as an inkjet head that discharges droplets of a glossy ink, a heater, and an ultraviolet light source. The glossy ink includes an ultraviolet-curable resin curable by being irradiated with ultraviolet light, a glossy pigment, and a solvent added to disperse the pigment. Particles of the glossy pigment have particle sizes less than or equal to 0.5 μm. The heater heats the medium to volatilize and strip the solvent in the ink. The ultraviolet light source irradiates dots of the glossy ink on the medium with ultraviolet light after a preset waiting time has passed subsequent to a timing of the droplets of the glossy ink landing on the medium.
Tape cassette
A tape cassette includes a box-like housing, a tape mounted within the housing, a hole and a first indicator portion. The housing includes a top wall having a top surface, a bottom wall having a bottom surface and opposing the top wall, and a front wall having a specified height and being formed along peripheries of the top wall and the bottom wall. The hole is provided in the front wall. The first indicator portion includes at least one first aperture and indicates a first element among a plurality of elements of a type of the tape. The first indicator portion is provided in a portion, spaced from the front wall, of the bottom wall. The hole and the one first aperture is located to intersect a virtual line orthogonal to the front wall when viewing along a vertical direction orthogonal to the top wall and the bottom wall.
WATER DISPERSION OF GEL PARTICLES, PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
A water dispersion of gel particles, in which the gel particles having a polymerizable group, having a three-dimensional crosslinked structure including at least one bond selected from a urethane bond and a urea bond, and including at least a photopolymerization initiator and a resin are dispersed in water, a method of producing the water dispersion, and an image forming method using the water dispersion.
MEDIA TRANSPORT WITH MEDIA ROLLERS OF DIFFERING DIAMETERS
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure a media transport device is described. The device includes a number of drive rollers coupled to a frame. A number of media rollers are also coupled to the frame. The media rollers are in contact with, and rotated by, the number of drive rollers. Media rollers in a first set have a first diameter and media rollers in a second set have a second diameter that is different from the first diameter. The device also includes a number of pinch rollers coupled to the frame. The pinch rollers are in contact with the number of media rollers to form a number of nips through which media passes along a feed path.
DRYING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A drying device includes a heater, a supporter, a controller, and a temperature detector. The heater heats a medium. The supporter is disposed opposite the heater to support the medium. The controller turns on the heater while the medium is conveyed, and turns off the heater when the medium is stopped. The temperature detector detects a temperature of the supporter. The controller is connected to the temperature detector to turn off the heater when the temperature detected with the temperature detector is a predetermined temperature or higher.
LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head ejecting liquid onto a medium transported on a transport path extending in a depth direction, a carriage holding the liquid ejecting head and reciprocally moving in a width direction so as to cross the transport path, and a waste liquid containing portion containing waste liquid discharged from the liquid ejecting head. The carriage includes a plurality of liquid containers that contain the liquid and are mounted on the carriage in such a manner that a plurality of the liquid containers are arranged side by side with each other in the depth direction.
