Liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a carriage unit which is provided with a liquid ejecting head, a liquid storage container which is storing a liquid, a tube which is connected to the carriage unit and which supplies the liquid which is fed from the liquid storage container to the carriage unit, a first driven roller which is provided on a downstream of the liquid ejecting head and which comes into contact with a surface of the medium which faces the liquid ejecting head, and a tube support surface which is positioned closer to a bottom side than the carriage unit in a vertical direction, and supports the tube, in which the tube support surface is at a position which is deviated from the first driven roller in the transport direction of the medium and falls within a height range of the first driven roller in the vertical direction.
Replication Alignment of Components for Use in Inkjet Printing Applications
Techniques for more accurately and efficiently replicating the alignment of one or more printer components with respect to another printer component are described herein. Replication may be achieved by using a fixture and a connection media to create a near exact replica of features of the fixture, or to temporarily hold multiple printer components in position while a joining layer of the connection media hardens. More specifically, a connection media, such as epoxy, can be used to fill an intentionally-established gap between connecting bodies or components that are held in a predetermined position by the replication fixture. The replication fixture represents a mechanical mounting interface that influences the position of a print head (or an array of print heads) within a printer housing or printing mechanism. Joining printer components in such a manner enables a stable mechanical coupling to be formed that does not require post operations.
Printing apparatus
There is provided a printing apparatus, including: a base; a thermal head including heating elements arranged in a first direction; a first engagement member; a second engagement member configured to engage with the first engagement member such that the thermal head pivotally moves, relative to the base, around a first axis extending in a second direction intersecting with the first direction; a head holding member being slidable with respect to the base in a third direction intersecting with the first direction and the second direction and holding the thermal head such that the heating elements face the third direction; a first magnetic member positioned on a first side in the first direction relative to the first engagement member; a second magnetic member positioned on the first side in the first direction relative to the second engagement member; and a head pressing member facing the head holding member from a first side in the third direction.

Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a printing head, a controller, an FFC, and a support section. The printing head discharges liquid onto a medium while moving in a primary scan direction so as to print an image on the medium. The controller controls a discharge state of the liquid from the printing head. The FFC electrically connects the printing head and the controller together so as to enable transmission of control signals, and includes a flat portion. The support section supports the flat portion of the flexible flat cable. A portion of the support section that contacts the flat portion is shorter than a width of the flexible flat cable in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the primary scan direction.
HEAD LEADING MEMBER, PRINTING MACHINE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HEAD LEADING MEMBER
To provide a head leading member with which it is possible to inexpensively lead a head with a high level of accuracy. A head leading member is a head leading member, provided in a printing machine that includes a head to discharge ink toward a working surface, for leading the head in a main travelling direction; and the head leading member comprises; a frame extending in the main travelling direction; a base member fixed to the frame, and having a guiding reference surface that is performed with a manufacture so as to be planar along the main travelling direction, in a state of being fixed to the frame; and a guide member extending in the main travelling direction and being supported on the guiding reference surface of the base member, in order to lead the head in the main travelling direction.
ASSEMBLY OF A GUIDING STRUCTURE AND A PRINT HEAD CARRIAGE
Described is an assembly of a guiding structure and a print head carriage, the print head carriage comprising a base carriage controllably movable relative to the guiding structure along a first horizontal axis, the print head carriage comprising a sub-carriage controllably movable relative to the base carriage along a second horizontal axis. The print head carriage comprises an intermediate carriage controllably movable relative to the base carriage along a vertical axis, the sub-carriage mounted on the intermediate carriage for moving together with the intermediate carriage relative to the base carriage, the sub-carriage controllably movable relative to the intermediate carriage along the second horizontal axis.
INKJET PRINTER
An inkjet printer comprising: a carriage that carries an inkjet head and configured to scan a recording medium; a main circuit board with a controller that controls the carriage; a strap including a first cable that connects to a first circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, a second cable that connects to a second circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, and a clamp configured to bundle the first cable and the second cable; a support member configured to support the strap from vertically below; and an ink tube configured to connect to the inkjet head and to an ink tank located outside of the carriage; the ink tube disposed between the strap and the support member.
PRINTHEAD ADJUSTMENT DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A printing system includes a printhead carriage supporting a printhead and mounted to translate along a beam extending in an x-axis direction of an x-axis, y-axis, z-axis Cartesian coordinate system. A method of controlling the printing system includes sensing one or more of a rotational orientation of the printhead about the x-axis, y-axis, and the z-axis and a position of the printhead along the y-axis and z-axis. Based on the sensed one or more of the rotational orientation and the position, a position of one or more bearings arranged to support the printhead carriage on the beam is adjusted. Adjusting the position of the one or more bearings adjusts one or both of the rotational orientation of the printhead and the position of the printhead. Systems and methods relate to control of printing systems.
