Piezoelectric drive device and robot
A piezoelectric drive device includes a rotor which has an output section for outputting a rotational force and a transmission section disposed on an outer periphery of the output section, and rotates around a rotational axis, and a vibrating part which has a piezoelectric element, and rotates the rotor due to a deformation of the piezoelectric element. The transmission section has a first portion and a second portion different from each other in position in a radial direction from the output section toward the transmission section, the first portion is coupled to the output section, the second portion is higher in Young's modulus than the first portion, the second portion is higher in mass per unit volume than the first portion, and the vibrating part makes contact with the transmission section at a position overlapping the second portion in a plan view from an axial direction of the rotational axis.

INK-JET PRINTER
There is provided an ink-jet printer, including: a conveyor; a carriage; a recording head; a sensor; a cap; a cap shifter; a reference wall; a memory; a power supply; a command receiver; and a controller. The controller is configured to execute judging a state of the power supply section; changing a relative position of the recording head and the cap from the covering position to the separated position to take the cap off the recording head; switching the power supply from the sleep state to the drive state, changing a relative position of the recording head and the cap from the covering position to the separated position by taking the cap off the recording head, storing in the memory the position information, and recording an image on the sheet conveyed to the sheet facing area.

RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a carriage which includes a recording head that performs recording on a medium and is movable in a predetermined direction; and a power supply unit that supplies power for driving drive targets including the carriage, wherein the power supply unit is located at a position in a movement area of the carriage. The power supply unit is disposed on an apparatus front side with respect to the movement area of the carriage in an apparatus depth direction, which is a direction intersecting the movement direction of the carriage. The power supply unit is disposed on an upper side of a medium transportation path in the vertical direction.

Liquid discharge apparatus
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a support portion that supports a sheet that is transported and a discharge unit that includes a carriage that is freely movable in scanning directions that intersect with a transport direction of the sheet and a liquid discharge head that is mounted on the carriage and that discharges ink to the sheet. End portions of the discharge unit in the scanning directions are provided with a plurality of ribs that are protruded along the scanning directions and that are provided so as to be juxtaposed with intervals in the transport direction. The ribs press a bend of the sheet toward the support portion as the carriage moves along the scanning directions.
Print device
A print device includes a first print portion, a first discharge portion, a second print portion, a second discharge portion, and a user interface portion. The first discharge portion is configured to discharge a first medium printed by the first print portion. The second discharge portion is configured to discharge a second medium printed by the second print portion. The user interface portion is disposed on a front side portion of the print device. A main scanning direction of the first print portion and a main scanning direction of the second print portion are substantially parallel to an up-down direction. A length in the up-down direction of the second print portion is shorter than a length in the up-down direction of the first print portion. The second print portion is disposed to the front of the first print portion.
Print head mechanism
A print head assembly for a media processing device comprises: a print head including an interface and a latch receiver on an upper surface of the print head; and a print head carrier including: (i) a base plate having an opening to receive the latch receiver therethrough when the print head is positioned at a lower surface of the base plate; (ii) an adapter to engage with the interface of the print head; and (iii) a latch bar on an upper surface of the base plate, the latch bar slideable between a first position to engage with the latch receiver and lock the print head to the base plate, and a second position to disengage from the latch receiver and release the print head from the base plate.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS
An inkjet printing apparatus includes: an airflow stage extending in a first direction; a print head unit disposed above the airflow stage; and an electric field generating unit that moves in the first direction and generates electric field above the airflow stage.
