INSECT REPELLENT AND INSECTICIDE
20190274314 · 2019-09-12 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a composition that includes lemongrass, castor oil, cedarwood oil, geraniol, sodium laurel sulfate, and corn oil for repelling and killing mosquitos. In one aspect of the inventive compositions comprise Guatemalan lemongrass, Juniperus virginiana and cedarwood oil. Some compositions further comprise mint oil, e.g., and Montana mint oil. Compositions according to the inventive subject matter kill insects at multiple stages in their life cycle including adult insects, larvae, and disrupt the egg cycle. In another aspect, the inventive compositions repel insects and retain repellency and insecticidal potency over a longer period of time than other natural insect repellents.

Bacillus thuringiensis RTI545 compositions and methods of use for benefiting plant growth and controlling plant pests

Compositions are provided that include a new Bacillus thuringiensis strain designated RTI545 for use in benefiting plant growth and controlling plant pests. In particular, the RTI545 strain is useful for controlling plant nematode, insect and fungal pests. The compositions include plant seeds coated with the RTI545 strain. The compositions can be applied alone or in combination with other microbial, biological, or chemical insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, bacteriocides, herbicides, plant extracts, plant growth regulators, or fertilizers. In one example, enhanced growth and insect control are provided by delivering at the time of planting a combination of a chemical insecticide such as bifenthrin and a liquid fertilizer to plants or seeds treated with RTI545.

The present invention is directed to pesticidal mixtures comprising sabadilla alkaloids and at least one macrolide and methods of controlling pests by application of pesticidal mixtures comprising sabadilla alkaloids and at least one macrolide.

SELF-EMULSIFYING LIPID COMPOSITIONS

The invention concerns a lipid composition that is self-emulsifying in the presence of a hydrophilic phase, comprising between 0.001% and 20% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one active substance; between 5% and 60% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of an oily phase; a first surfactant; a second surfactant; the ratio between the first surfactant and the second surfactant being between 0.5 and 6; said lipid composition is such that, after dispersion in the hydrophilic phase, it forms particles having, as an absolute value, a charge of between 10 mV and 100 mV. The invention also concerns a method for preparing a self-emulsifying lipid composition, and the use of said self-emulsifying lipid composition in the pharmacutical or nutraceutical veterinary field.
