Printing system and method

There is disclosed a method of printing onto the surface of a substrate, which method comprises i) coating a donor surface with a monolayer of particles, ii) treating the substrate surface to render at least selected regions tacky, and iii) contacting the substrate surface with the donor surface to cause particles to transfer from the donor surface only to the tacky regions of the substrate surface. After printing on a substrate, the donor surface returns to the coating station where the continuity of the monolayer is restored by recovering with fresh particles the regions of the donor surface exposed by the transfer of particles to the substrate.

Textiles and articles, and processes for making the same

Articles of wear having one or more textiles that include a low processing temperature polymeric composition and a high processing temperature polymeric composition, and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The low processing temperature polymeric composition and the high processing temperature polymeric composition can be selectively incorporated into a textile to provide one or more structural properties and/or other advantageous properties to the article. E-textiles fabricated using particle-free conductive inks

Described herein are methods for forming e-textiles, wherein the methods include printing a particle-free conductive ink on a textile substrate, and curing the textile substrate to produce a conductive pattern thereon. The printing may include inkjet printing and may produce a printed pattern which exhibits an ink bleed of less than 0.5 mm, such as less than 0.2 mm. During printing, the textile substrate may be heated to a temperature of 30° C. to 90° C. before and during the printing process. The fabric substrate may be cured using heat and/or light to produce a conductive pattern having a sheet resistance of less than 10Ω/□, or even less than 1Ω/□.

Stitching is applied to a shoe or shoe component and then printed. The stitching may be formed from a continuous thread. After printing, a portion of the continuous thread may have a different color or appearance from other portion(s) of the continuous thread.

Inkjet printing method

An inkjet printing method is provided. A smear-free printed matter superior in glossiness can be obtained. The inkjet printing method includes: a second ink layer forming step of discharging a second ink on a first ink layer formed on a recording medium and drying the discharged second ink, and a third ink layer forming step of discharging a third ink on the second ink layer and drying the discharged third ink. A drying time during the second ink layer forming step is shorter than a drying time during the third ink layer forming step.

Methods for manufacturing panels and panel obtained thereby

A method may be provided for manufacturing coated panels of the type including at least a substrate and a top layer with a motif. The top layer may be provided on the substrate. The method may involve providing a synthetic material layer on the substrate. A relief may be provided on the surface of the synthetic material layer provided on the substrate. The relief may include a pattern of recesses and/or projections. The relief may be obtained by providing a mask on or in the synthetic material layer. The mask may enable a selective treatment of the synthetic material layer. A material-removing treatment or a material-depositing treatment may be performed on the synthetic material layer, such that the mask at least partially determines the pattern.
