The present invention relates to compounds represented by formula (I) (in the formula, R.sup.1 represents, e.g., a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkyl group, R.sup.2 represents a group represented by R.sup.a—CO—O—CR.sup.b.sub.2— or a group represented by R.sup.aO—CO—O—CR.sup.b.sub.2—, each R.sup.a independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkyl group, each R.sup.b independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkyl group, R.sup.3 represents, e.g., a hydrogen atom, and Q represents, e.g., a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group), or salts thereof, and herbicides comprising at least one selected therefrom as an effective component.

The herbicidal composition comprising one or more PPO-inhibiting herbicides selected from the group consisting of flumioxazin, flumiclorac-pentyl, lactofen, carfentrazone-ethyl, sulfentrazone, tiafenacil, trifludimoxazin, and a compound represented by the following formula (I):
