SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A sheet binding processing apparatus includes a conveying portion, a conveying path for sheets, a stacking portion on which sheets from the conveying path are stacked, a first regulating portion for regulating a sheet bundle on the stacking portion in a crossing direction, a second regulating portion for regulating a sheet bundle in the conveying direction, a manual setting portion for setting sheets from an outside of the apparatus, and a binding device which binds a sheet bundle by a staple and moves in the crossing direction. An angular posture of the binding device located at a third position is different from an angular posture located at a first position. An angular posture of the binding device located at the third position is different from an angular posture located at a second position. The second position is located at a second side of the first position.

Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system
In order to enable a sheet to be properly guided to a nip portion in performing folding processing, a sheet processing apparatus for performing folding processing on a sheet is provided with a rotating body pair which nips the sheet by a nip portion to rotate, and thereby draws the sheet to perform folding processing, a folding blade that pushes the sheet to the nip portion of the rotating body pair, and a blade guide member including a guide portion for pushing the sheet to the nip portion when the folding blade pushes the sheet to the nip portion, where the folding blade and blade guide member are relatively shifted so that a distance from a push front edge portion to the guide portion when the folding blade pushes the sheet to the nip portion is longer than a distance from the front edge portion to the guide portion.
Post processing apparatus and image forming system
A post-processing apparatus includes a binding device, a closing device, a driver, and a changeover switch. The binding device binds a sheet bundle. The closing device closes an entrance to a binding position at which the binding device binds the sheet bundle. The driver moves the closing device to a closing position to close the entrance. The switch performs switching to implement a state in which the binding device is able to bind the sheet bundle when the closing device moves to the closing position. The closing device includes an avoidance operation portion to move to the closing position to operate the switch, and a drive coupler coupled to the avoidance operation portion to move the avoidance operation portion to the closing position. A coupling state between the avoidance operation portion and the drive coupler is released when movement of the avoidance operation portion to the closing position is prevented.
MEDIUM PROCESSING DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A medium processing apparatus includes a liquid applier, a crimper, a stapler, and circuitry. The liquid applier applies liquid to a liquid application position of a medium. The crimper presses and deforms at least a part to which the liquid is applied by the liquid applier, to bind a plurality of media including the medium to which the liquid is applied. The stapler performs stapling with a staple on a medium bundle in which the plurality of media is bound by the crimper. The circuitry controls operations of the crimper, the liquid applier, and the stapler, and selectively switches between first binding performed by the liquid applier and the crimper and second binding performed by only the stapler, in accordance with information on the medium or a binding position at which the medium bundle is bound by the crimper.
Paper sheet processing apparatus
A paper sheet S is intermittently transported by a transport mechanism 6 and each processing unit 7, 8 operates while the transport mechanism pauses the transport operation. An information acquisition unit 9 obtains paper information from the paper sheet. A control unit 10 stores the paper information of the paper sheet to be processed for each processing unit, updates the data of the memory in a manner such that the paper information of the paper sheet associated with the previous processing unit is associated with the next processing unit every time the transport mechanism transports, and configures the settings of each processing unit for the next processing operation based on the paper information every time the processing operation of the processing unit is completed.

Paper feed and biasing system and method for stapler unit
A finisher assembly of a multifunction peripheral includes a vertically oriented stapler and a paper transport motor. When the paper transport motor rotates in the forward direction, printed pages from the print engine of the multifunction peripheral are received via a paper chute and a feed assist roller urges the printed pages into a vertical paper accumulation cache basin. Rotation of the paper transport motor also opens a biasing plate allowing the pages to freely enter the cache basin. Once all of the pages of the print job are in the cache basin, the paper transport motor rotates in the reverse direction causing the biasing plate to bias the printed pages, in the cache basin, against a registration surface of the vertically oriented stapler unit. The pages of the print job are stapled together the stapled print job is moved to the paper tray for collection by a user.
