Method for binding a bundle of leaves
Disclosed is a method for binding a bundle of leaves, of which a strip of each of the leaves is folded separately beforehand along a first line to form a first fold line that extends parallel to and at a first distance from the edge, and subsequently is folded again along a second line to form a second fold line that extends parallel to and at a second distance from the edge whereby the first distance is different from the second distance.
BOOK BINDING SYSTEM
A book block supplying machine includes a reader which reads job information from an information portion printed on a book block; and a timing adjusting portion which adjusts a supply timing at which the book block is fed toward the book binding machine. A controller includes: a job information acquisition portion which acquires the job information; an upper limit processing speed acquisition portion which acquires an upper limit processing speed; a making speed decision portion which adopts and decides the making speed; a making speed instruction portion which instructs the book binding machine to make the bound material at the making speed; a timing decision portion which decides the supply timing based on the making speed, upper limit processing speed and accumulating number; and a timing instruction portion which instructs the timing adjusting portion to supply the book block at the supply timing.
Image forming apparatus
Provided is an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a sheet. A case binding apparatus is configured to cut predetermined sides of a sheet bundle formed by binding a plurality of sheets to perform bookbinding. The case binding apparatus includes a cutting-waste box configured to collect cutting waste produced by the cutting and a cutting-waste full load detection sensor configured to detect a fully loaded state of the cutting-waste box with the cutting waste collected in the cutting-waste box. When the sheet onto which the image is to be formed is not a last sheet in the sheet bundle, the image forming apparatus does not interrupt image formation processing in response to the fully loaded state of the waste box detected by the detector when an order of the sheet in the sheet bundle is smaller than a predetermined order.
Sheet binding device and sheet binding method
A sheet binding device includes a sheet shifting unit, a tape cutter, and a tape attachment unit. The sheet shifting unit has a guide and is configured to stack multiple sheets on the guide with edge portions that are shifted from each other to form a sheet bundle. The tape cutter cuts tape with a target length that is varied in accordance with a thickness of the sheet bundle. The tape attachment unit is configured to attach the cut tape having the target length to an edge portion of the sheet bundle.
BINDING FOLDER FOR BINDING LEAVES AND METHOD TO PRODUCE SUCH BINDING FOLDER
Binding folder for binding a bundle of leaves (2), whereby this binding folder (1) comprises a cover (3) with a spine (5) and two endpapers (6), whereby in the spine (5) a U-shaped profile (4) from heat-conductive material is applied, whereby the U-shaped profile (4) comprises a base (7) and upright arms (8) and whereby in the U-shaped profile (4) a binding adhesive (9) in the form of a hotmelt adhesive is applied, characterised in that the U-shaped profile (4) in the spine (5) is applied by means of an assembly adhesive (11) between the upright arms (8) of the U-shaped profile (4) and the spine (5) of the cover (3), whereby this assembly adhesive (11) extends beyond the free edges (10) of the upright arms (8) and over these free edges (10).
System and apparatus for book block binding and method thereof
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for providing a rotatable perfect binding separated step solution configured to maximize efficiency for one-off book printing. The multi-clamp binding apparatus includes a rotatable body, a plurality of fixed operation stations associated with the rotatable body, and a plurality of clamps coupled to the rotatable body. Each of the clamps may retain at least one workpiece. The rotatable body may rotate each of the plurality of clamps to one or more of the plurality of fixed operation stations. In operation, a book block is received at an in-feed location of the perfect binding apparatus. The book block is stored within a holding apparatus of the perfect binding apparatus. The book block is then rotated between a plurality of fixed operation stations. At least one operation is performed upon the book block at each of the plurality of fixed operation stations.
Manual binding tray for sheet processing device
A sheet processing apparatus includes alignment plates, which are provided outside a main body housing of a sheet processing apparatus, shift in an alignment direction orthogonal to a transport direction of a sheet loaded on a load tray to load sheets discharged from a discharge opening, and align opposite sides of the sheet, and a sheet support surface provided in a different position adjacent to a processing tray in the alignment direction to support sheets inserted from a manual feed opening provided outside the main body housing. A binding apparatus shifts to the processing tray or the sheet support surface, and binds sheets placed on the processing tray or the sheet support surface. Neat alignment plates are positioned not to block the manual feed opening during the binding processing on manually fed sheets on the sheet support surface.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING A SHEET, BOOKBINDING METHOD, AND BOOKBINDING ARTICLE
A method for processing a sheet for bookbinding includes operations. A cut is formed that divides a thickness of the sheet in a binding-side side surface of the sheet. A portion of a connection piece that is attached to the sheet is inserted into the cut as an inserted portion, and functions as a hinge in a book-bound state. The portion of the connection piece inserted into the cut is joined to the sheet.
Sheet binding apparatus and image forming system
A sheet binding apparatus includes a sheet conveyer, a tape holder, and first and second rollers. The sheet conveyer is configured to convey a sheet bundle with a leading end shifted, the sheet bundle having opposing first and second surfaces. The tape holder is configured to hold a tape at a position to which the leading end reaches such that the tape adheres to the leading end. The leading end with the tape passes and is pressed between the first and second rollers. The second roller is positioned upstream in the sheet forward direction from the first roller and to face the second surface of the sheet bundle. An angle between a line perpendicular to the sheet forward direction and a line passing rotational axes of the first and second rollers is greater than 0 and less than 90.
