In a second adhesion mode, the application amount of the powder adhesive applied to the binding margin is a second application amount and the heat parameter is a second value. The first value is higher than the second value. The first application amount is lower than the second application amount.

An image forming apparatus determines whether crease processing at a plurality of portions set on the sheet includes crease processing on two, front and back surfaces of the sheet; determines, if it is determined that crease processing includes crease processing on the two surfaces of the sheet, whether a connected post-processing apparatus that performs crease processing on a sheet can perform crease processing on the two, front and back surfaces of the sheet by one feeding; and controls, if it is determined that the connected post-processing apparatus cannot perform crease processing on the two surfaces by one feeding, to change, to one of the front and back surfaces of the sheet based on attribute information of the sheet, a surface to be processed in crease processing at the plurality of portions.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a first folding roller, a second folding roller, a return conveyance passage, and a third folding roller. The conveyor conveys a sheet along a main conveyance passage in a conveyance direction. The second folding roller facing the first folding roller across the main conveyance passage conveys the sheet by a first conveyance amount. The return conveyance passage having a curvature is branched from the main conveyance passage at a branching position and is merged to the main conveyance passage at a merging position. The third folding roller facing the second folding roller across the return conveyance passage conveys the sheet by a second conveyance amount smaller than the first conveyance amount of the second folding roller. The second folding roller is on an outer peripheral side and the third folding roller is on an inner peripheral side of the return conveyance passage.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a first folding roller, a second folding roller, a return conveyance passage, and a third folding roller. The conveyor conveys a sheet along a main conveyance passage in a conveyance direction. The second folding roller facing the first folding roller across the main conveyance passage conveys the sheet by a first conveyance amount. A booklet creating apparatus includes a heating-and-pressing unit and a controller. The heating-and-pressing unit heats and presses adhesive layer in a state in which plural sheets, with the adhesive layer formed thereon, are stacked. The controller performs control in such a way as to make a predetermined temperature and/or pressure lower when heating and pressing sheets of minimum size than when heating and pressing sheets of maximum size.
