Apparatus for Page-pressing and Barrier-free Page-turning
Disclosed is an apparatus for page-pressing and barrier-free page-turning. The apparatus includes page-pressing devices and a placement board. The page-pressing device is capable of switching between a first state and a second state. When the page-pressing device is in the first state, the page-pressing device is capable of tightly pressing against a book page(s) on the placement board. When the page-pressing device is in the second state, the page-pressing device is capable of releasing the press onto the book page(s). The page-pressing device is capable of mechanically self-locking to maintain a contact pressure to the book page(s) when the page-pressing device is in the first state to press against the book page(s), while the power causing the contact pressure no longer exists.

Bending system, engrave system and value document manufacturing device
A bending system for separating a page from a cover of a value document, wherein the page is connected to a spine of the cover, the spine separating the cover in first and second cover portions, wherein an angle γ is formed between the first and second cover portions. The bending system includes a bending unit connected to a motor, wherein the motor is configured to operate the bending unit such that the bending unit bends the value document to a first state, where γ is larger than 180°, and then back to a second state, where γ is at least 180° but less than γ in the first state, to separate the page from the cover. Also disclosed is an engraving system for engraving a front side and backside of a page of the value document and a document manufacturing device including the bending system and engraving system.
Concealment device
A concealment device for use with a notary book, the concealment device comprising an opaque, removable, reusable single sheet of static cling material sufficiently wide to cover confidential information contained on pages of the notary book when the notary book is being signed, the sheet having an upper and lower surface, the lower surface configured to secure to the notary book pages by static cling, and a bottom portion having a plurality of identifications that correspond with and align with identifications on the notary book when the concealment device is placed on the open notary book. A combination comprising a notary book having a plurality of notary pages, each notary page comprising a plurality of columns, the book having two pages in an open position for entering information into the notary book and a concealment device placed on the two pages in the open position of the notary book.
BOOKMARK ASSEMBLY
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a bookmark assembly that indicates relative page direction and a line left off for a reader. The assembly includes a hollow sleeve member having a window and a slot, a marker configured to translate through the hollow sleeve member, and a line indicator configured to translate along the slot.
NOTEBOOK WITH CONFIGURABLE NOTE-TAKING GUIDES AND ORGANIZATIONAL FEATURES
A notebook is provided comprising a number of expert guidance pages and instructional figures. The notebook includes integrated guidance and information sheets that describe using different note-taking methods. The notebook may include supplemental pages that teach and reinforce note-taking methods and approaches, as well as a variety of other pages designed to provide a functional notebook. One or more of the pages, including the supplemental pages, can be removed by tearing along a perforated edge.
BOOKMARKING DEVICE
A device including a bookmarker for bookmarking pages of a book, the bookmarker having a first and a second end. A locking mechanism locks the first and second ends. A first indicator is operable for indicating a desired portion of the page of the book. A second indicator is operable for indicating an unusual or interesting word on the page. A marker is operable for marking an index page to the corresponding page marked by the front portion of physical bookmark device or a solution page corresponding to a problem containing page marked by the front portion of the bookmarker. A counter for counting down or counting up from a predetermined starting value to a user-set or preset timer value. A motion sensor for determining when a user is reading or otherwise engaged with the page. An alarm for alerting or notifying of the preset timer value being reached.
Dual page bookmark
A dual page bookmark for encouraging personal reading goals includes a planar anchor having a flap extending therefrom. The anchor has an interior edge conforming to the spline edge of a page and a top edge. The flap has an interior edge extending from a point about the midsection of the top edge of the anchor. The interior edge converges with an outer edge of the flap at an end point even with the midsection of the top edge of anchor. The outer edge is formed with a pronounced curvature, which is necessary to the automatic repositioning of the flap as one page of the book is turned to present the next page. A curved interface between the planar portion of the flap and the top edge of the anchor, which biases the planar portion of the flap in the direction of the anchor.
BENDING SYSTEM, ENGRAVE SYSTEM AND VALUE DOCUMENT MANUFACTURING DEVICE
A bending system for separating a page from a cover of a value document, wherein the page is connected to a spine of the cover, the spine separating the cover in first and second cover potions, wherein an angle is formed between the first and second cover portions. The bending system includes a bending unit connected to a motor, wherein the motor is configured to operate the bending unit such that the bending unit bends the value document to a first state, where is larger than 180, and then back to a second state, where is at least 180 but less than in the first state, to separate the page from the cover. Also disclosed is an engrave system for engraving a front side and backside of a page of the value document and a document manufacturing device including the bending system and engrave system.
