Smart card and manufacturing method therefor
A manufacturing method of a smart card. The manufacturing method comprises: respectively hollowing out a plurality of substrates to obtain a plurality of hollowed-out substrates (101); synthesizing the plurality of hollowed-out substrates to obtain a multilayer synthesized hollowed-out substrate (102); filling the synthesized hollowed-out substrate with an internal insert (103); and coating the synthesized hollowed-out substrate with adhesive to obtain the smart card (104). By adopting the technical solution that a multilayer synthesized hollowed-out substrate is obtained by synthesizing a plurality of hollowed-out substrates, and the synthesized hollowed-out substrate is filled with an internal insert, the production difficulty of the smart card with a function of human-computer interaction is reduced, and the production efficiency is increased.

Metal, ceramic, or ceramic-coated transaction card with window or window pattern and optional backlighting
A transaction card includes at least one metal layer having one or more apertures therein. A light guide is disposed beneath the metal layer. The light guide has a light output and a light input. The light output is positioned to transmit light through at least the one or more apertures of the metal layer. At least one LED is positioned to transmit light into the light guide light input.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR COMPARING IMAGES
A method of determining whether a user of a mobile device corresponds to a previously authenticated user. The method comprises: acquiring a first image from the identity document, the first image being a photographic image and or a digital image; causing a camera connected to or integral with the mobile device to capture a second image, the second image corresponding to a user of the mobile device; comparing data indicative of the first image and data indicative of the second image, whereby to determine whether the first image and the second image represent the same user; and responsive to determining that the first image and the second image represent the same user, forming an association between the previously authenticated user and the mobile device.

Phosphorescent writing sheet and system for creation of glowing traces and methods thereof
A phosphorescent writing sheet and system along with methods of production and use are provided. The writing/drawing system includes a writing sheet and a light source. The writing sheet includes a generally transparent substrate sheet or film, phosphorescent paint, and a generally transparent covering sheet or film. To create the writing sheet, a thin layer of the phosphorescent paint is deposited onto the inner surface of the substrate. When the paint is dry, the covering sheet is positioned above the paint layer. The layers are then laminated to adhere the substrate layer to the covering layer with the paint enclosed between them to form the transparent or translucent writing sheet. To use, the light source is run along either the front or back outer surface to create a track, which triggers the phosphorescent paint to luminesce to create glowing traces along the track of the light source.

Authentication hologram
An authentication system includes an object including an authentication hologram disposed over an area of a surface of the object. The authentication hologram is defined by a pattern of reflective material and includes latent authentication information. The system includes a computer-readable medium including program instructions for execution by one or more processors. The program instructions are executable by the one or more processors to: (i) receive, from an image capture device, a digital image of the authentication hologram, wherein light reflected by the reflective material is captured in the digital image of the authentication hologram, and (ii) detect the latent authentication information in the digital image of the authentication hologram, wherein an effect of the reflected light is reduced to detect the latent authentication information.
