A clipboard system comprising a clipboard that cooperates with a case of a portable computing device (e.g., a tablet computer) such that the case attaches to the clipboard to enable interchangeable usage of the portable computing device and the clipboard. The case enables the portable computing device to be enclosed and supported, and utilized while coupled with the clipboard. The case receives the computing device and secures the device therein, while exposing the device display and the device controls for user interaction. The case comprises a backside having affixed thereto an attachment material such as one part of a two-part fastener that securely interfaces to the other part of the fastener material affixed to the clipboard. The attachment material is of sufficient strength to hold the case and enclosed computing device to the clipboard during normal usage.

A hook-and-loop fastening structure for a clipboard contains: a cover and an accommodation box rotatably connecting with the cover. The accommodation box includes an accommodating chamber, a fixing slot defined on one of two inner peripheral sides of the accommodating chamber, and two opposite insertion portions, wherein each insertion portion is arranged on each of two inner ends of the accommodating chamber. Each insertion portion has a recess and a through hole defined between and communicating with a bottom of the recess and the accommodating chamber. The fixing slot of the accommodating chamber is configured to house a clamper for clamping papers/documents, and a hook-and-loop fastener is connected with the two opposite insertion portions so as to fix an object (such as a mobile device or a tablet PC) in the clipboard, after inserting the hook-and-loop fastener into the recess and the through hole.

The apparatus facilitates a simple method to turn the pages on an easel or similar freestanding display, and secure them in a desired position. The apparatus is designed as a tool for the display of choreographed workouts, music sheets, and any other situation where multiple pages are needed to be easily accessed. The apparatus consists of a three-ring binder (may be either a freestanding three-ring easel binder or a standard flat three-ring binder), two extension supports, and clipboard-style clips that can be pivoted or folded back into the binder to ease the break-down and transport of the apparatus. The device preferably includes clear pocketed tri-fold sheet protectors or other tri-fold devices.
