A writing instrument includes a barrel and a cap capable of being assembled with and secured to the barrel. The barrel carries a writing instrument. The cap carries a clip. A free end of the clip includes a detent that can be received by a corresponding indentation of an exterior surface of an external portion of the barrel when the cap is assembled with the barrel. The detent of the clip and the indentation of the barrel are capable of securing the cap and the barrel in their assembled relationship. The writing instrument may be compact. Methods of using a writing instrument include securing a cap of the writing instrument to a barrel of the writing instrument by causing a detent of a free end of a clip of the cap to engage a corresponding indentation of an exterior portion of the barrel.

A majority of a length of the barrel and a writing element carried thereby may be received by the cap when the barrel and the cap are placed in a stored providing a compact stored arrangement. The cap may be secured to the barrel in a writing arrangement that extends a length of the writing instrument significantly; for example, to a conventional writing instrument length. Engagement features of the cap and barrel may include steep threads that enable the cap to be assembled with and disassembled from the barrel with one rotation (360°) or less. A clip on the cap may include a closed end that defines a receptacle, with the closed end and receptacle extending beyond a corresponding end of the cap. In addition, the closed end and receptacle may extend partially over the corresponding end of the cap.

The interaction circuit is disposed on a side of the pen core opposite the pen body in the direction orthogonal to the coupling direction of the pen core and the cartridge in a state in which the interaction circuit recedes to the cartridge side from a writing end of the pen body in the coupling direction of the pen core and the cartridge.

The discharge head has a sponge carrier with a sponge receptacle in which a sponge is arranged. The sponge carrier is movable in a translationally guided manner with respect to the base and has a hollow connector inside which a liquid channel is provided that connects the liquid storage to the sponge receptacle. This liquid channel is provided with an outlet valve, which is opened by moving the sponge carrier in the direction of the base, such that liquid can flow freely out of the liquid storage into the sponge receptacle.

Writing implement

A writing implement, including a pen tube, a guiding element, a motion sensor, and a controller. An end portion of the pen tube is provided with a nib. The guiding element and the motion sensor are disposed on the pen tube, and the guiding element is controlled by the controller. In the process of writing, the motion sensor detects words and pencraft characteristics when a user holds the pen tube for writing, and the controller controls the guiding element to generate a guiding force to guide the words and pencraft characteristics when writing, to approach or be equal to words and pencraft characteristics prepared to be written. Therefore, the present invention may train a user to copy the handwriting of a master or actively guide the user to wield the pen by means of the writing implement.

A method of coextruding polymeric materials into multiple layers of desired thickness to form a tubular workpiece. The method includes conveying a first polymeric material through a main extruder and a second polymeric material through a coextruder. The second polymeric material has dispersed therein an amount of electrically conductive particles effective to impart electrical conductivity to the tubular workpiece. The method further includes simultaneously extruding the first polymeric material and the second polymeric material through a coextrusion die to form the tubular workpiece. The tubular workpiece is extruded in the form of one or more outer layers having the first polymeric material and one or more inner layers comprising the second polymeric material. A tubular workpiece prepared by the method of coextruding polymeric materials into multiple layers of desired thickness. A system for coextruding polymeric materials into multiple layers of desired thickness to form a tubular workpiece is also provided.
