Communication systems and kits
Systems have a frame, and a substrate base sheet held by the frame. Each system has a media sheet and a substantially transparent erasable sheet held by the frame, with the media sheet being between the substrate sheet and the erasable sheet. The media sheet and the substantially transparent erasable sheet have substantially the same peripheral shape. The erasable sheet is positioned directly over the media sheet and supported by the frame at locations substantially the same as where the frame supports the media sheet. The media sheet may be a durable, long-lasting sheet. One of the media sheet and erasable sheet may have a lifting tab extending away from a peripheral edge thereof, some embodiments having a through-hole.

Zero/low VOC dry erase coatings and other variations
Multi-part and one-part dry erase compositions are disclosed herein, including methods of using such compositions to form low/zero volatile organic compound (VOC) dry erasable coatings. The multi-part dry erase composition comprises a mixture of a first part and a second part, wherein the first part comprises a curable epoxy resin, such as an aromatic epoxide with diglycidyl epoxy functionality, and the second part comprises an amine curing agent, such as cycloaliphatic polyamine. The one-part compositions comprise monomers, oligomers, and polymers of an aliphatic or aromatic isocyanate, such as a diisocyanate, and an amine curing agent, such as morpholine and derivatives thereof. The dry erase compositions have a VOC content of less than about 25 g/L. Dry erasable coatings also include the abilities to dry erase additional markings in addition to dry erase markers, to include, but not limited to, regular marker, permanent marker, pen, highlighter, crayon, and spray paints. The dry erasable coatings can also withstand wet erasing, cleaning, and deep cleaning, with more aggressive cleaning chemicals like acetone, xylene, and Goof-Off brand aerosol cleaner while still maintaining its dry erasable features.

A novelty item for the amusement of children, said item including a plurality of mats made from a flexible material that is adapted to receive erasable ink markings; wherein said mats are linked in an array and foldably connected along a straight edge, thereby to enable the folding of said array of mats into a compact form wherein all of said mats will lay flat and aligned; wherein said foldable connections are debossed trenches extending fully across at least one surface of said mats.

There is provided an article having a reusable writing surface comprising: a planar surface, a water-based film disposed upon the planar surface, wherein the water-based film has a satin finish, and a first UV film over the water-based film, wherein the first UV film has a gloss finish, thereby providing a surface suitable for writing with a dry erasable pen and allowing erasure of the writing.
