Writing implement holder
The writing implement holder may be a device that is adapted to hold a writing implement on a user's finger such that movement of the user's finger may move a tip of the writing implement against a surface. As non-limiting examples, the writing implement holder may be adapted to be worn on an index finger, the writing implement may be a pen, a pencil, a marker, or a stylus, and the surface may be a sheet of paper, a tablet computer, or a smartphone. The writing implement holder may hold the writing implement to compensate for a lack of dexterity after an injury or illness, to avoid direct contact with the surface, or both. As non-limiting examples, injuries and illnesses that may reduce dexterity may include a heart attack, a stroke, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or any combination thereof.

Movement assistance apparatus, e.g., for feeding, writing
An apparatus comprises a main arm having links extending from a ground end to an effector end and allowing movement of the effector end from a first position to a second position, the links including at least a base link adapted to be pivotally connected to a base, and a spacing link pivotally mounted to a free end of the base link and extending to the effector end. A first 4-bar parallelogram has pivot joints at its corners and including the base link of the main arm. A second 4-bar parallelogram has pivot joints at its corners and including the spacing link of the main arm and an effector link at the effector end adapted to support an object. A serial interconnection is between the first 4-bar parallelogram and the second 4-bar parallelogram constraining the effector link to maintaining a constant orientation in at least two rotational degrees of freedom relative to the base.
ARM SUPPORT DEVICE
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises an arm support device. The device is a set of supports that provide stability to an arm of a user during different activities or tasks. The arm support device comprises a wrist supporting component and an elbow supporting component. Both the wrist supporting component and the elbow supporting component feature a hinged area of support or ball and socket joint attached to the user's wrist or elbow via at least one compression sleeve. The unhinged ends of both the elbow supporting component and wrist supporting component feature a non-slip base. Thus, once either component of the device is secured to the corresponding area of the user's arm via the compression sleeve(s), the user can complete a multitude of tasks with extra wrist or elbow stability.
