METALLIC SHEET WITH DEPOSITED STRUCTURED IMAGES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A metallic sheet with deposited structured images and method for manufacture (MSDIMM) that includes a substrate, at least one structural feature, and a metal layer. The structural feature is at least one cavity on the substrate's upper surface, or at least one material object that extends outward from the substrate's upper surface. The metal layer is deposited, either by sputtering or atomic deposition, onto the substrate's upper surface, and, as the metal layer is deposited, the metal layer interfaces with and follows the dimensions of the structural feature(s), thereby creating a visible image at the location(s) of the structural feature(s). The visible image can be any image, and is preferably either an artistic image, a textual image, or an authentication image. The MDSIMM can be used for a variety sf purposes, and is especially effective as a form of exonumia or currency.
Process for the selective decoration of a timepiece component
A process for manufacturing a timepiece or jewellery component, the component being manufactured from a first material, the process including: obtaining the component, having undergone, at a very latest during the obtaining, a treatment directed toward combining the component with a chromic element, the chromic element including at least one pigment capable of reacting to an energy supply and a matrix for binding the pigment; placing the component in a machine capable of at least locally supplying energy to the component; using the energy supply machine in a predefined operating program at least locally to provide energy to the chromic element to bring about a reaction of its pigment; removing the component from the energy supply machine.
Transfer lamination
In a method of laminating a transfer layer to a substrate, a transfer layer is provided on a carrier layer. Portions of the transfer layer are selectively removed from the carrier layer using an adhesive panel by heating portions of the adhesive panel corresponding to the portions of the transfer layer, and transferring the portions of the transfer layer from the carrier layer to the adhesive panel. A transfer section of the transfer layer is then transferred from the carrier layer to a surface of the substrate by fracturing the transfer layer along an edge of the transfer section.
Method of using an inflatable member to customize an article
A method of using an inflatable member to customize an article is described. An inflatable member includes at least one adjustable portion. The inflatable member may be inserted into an article. The position of the adjustable portion can be changed according to the size of the article. The inflatable member can also be filled with fluid according to the size of the article. The inflatable member may be used to adjust the size of an article. The inflatable member may be used to apply a graphic to an article.
Dissolvable films and methods of using the same
The present invention provides dissolvable films for customizing art materials, such as inks, paints, and modeling doughs. The invention also provides methods and kits for delivering artistic effects to art materials. The dissolvable films comprise one or more cellulose compounds, propylene glycol, glycerin, and one or more artistic components. The dissolvable film imparts an artistic effect following administration of the film to the art material. In exemplary embodiments, the artistic components of the film comprise one or more colorants which provide a coloring effect. A kit for delivering one or more artistic effects to an art material includes dissolvable films of various colors and shapes, and one or more art materials, such as ink, paint, or modeling dough.

NON-WOVEN MATERIAL DEVICE COVERING
A method of covering a device includes splitting a sheet of non-woven material between a cosmetic surface of the non-woven material and a non-cosmetic surface of the non-woven material. This produces two sheets—a cosmetic sheet of the non-woven material including the cosmetic surface and a first split surface opposite the cosmetic surface, and a non-cosmetic sheet of the non-woven material including the non-cosmetic surface and a second split surface opposite the non-cosmetic surface. The method further includes applying an at least partially transparent coating to the non-cosmetic surface of the non-cosmetic sheet. The first split surface of the cosmetic sheet is affixed to a first portion of the device, and the second split surface of the non-cosmetic sheet is affixed to a second portion of the device.
Selectively Electoplating Plastic Substrates Having a Decorative Film
A selectively-metalized plastic part that includes a plastic substrate substantially conforming to the shape of the plastic part, a plastic film using an electroplating-resistant material that is applied to the plastic substrate, and an electroplating portion, wherein after exposing the plastic part to an electroplating process the electroplating portion receives metal plating whereas the plastic film does not.
METHOD OF PRODUCING A PROTECTIVE MAT
A method of producing a protective mat is a method of re-using cork stoppers for bottles to construct a mat having a useful and an artistic function. The mats may be used as protective mats, or may be used for an artistic value. The method may include beginning with a circular centerpiece and attaching circular cork sections circularly to increase the diameter of mat until the desired diameter is reached.
DECORATIVE PANEL HAVING A DIGITALLY PRINTED PATTERN
Disclosed is a method of producing a pattern for a decorative panel. The method includes applying a clear gel coat on a mold to form a clear layer. The clear layer is cured and then digitally printed with one or more inks so as to produce a pattern on the clear layer. Also disclosed is a decorative panel including a clear layer, an opaque layer and a pattern digitally printed on the clear layer, between the clear and opaque layers, such that the pattern is visible through the clear layer.
