The present invention provides a decorative sheet having higher designability and weatherability over a long period of time by adding an organic ultraviolet absorbent and an inorganic ultraviolet absorbent each provided as organic ultraviolet absorbent vesicles and inorganic ultraviolet absorbent vesicles, respectively, to at least one of a top coat layer and a transparent resin layer. A decorative sheet of an aspect of the present invention includes a top coat layer as an outermost layer, and a transparent resin layer as an underlayer of the top coat layer, wherein an organic ultraviolet absorbent and an inorganic ultraviolet absorbent are added to at least one of the top coat layer and the transparent resin layer, and the organic ultraviolet absorbent and the inorganic ultraviolet absorbent are each encapsulated in vesicles having a monolayer outer membrane and provided as organic ultraviolet absorbent vesicles and inorganic ultraviolet absorbent vesicles, respectively.

This step is repeated until the desired shimmering light-reflective pattern resembling a three-dimensional wave on a two-dimensional metallic surface is achieved. The method features assembling the metallic blanks, one atop of another creating layers.

A lithophane display unit includes a base having an opening formed in a base top surface. A receptacle extends downward from the opening into a portion of base. An industrial decoration method in which a colored pattern (11) is made in the bulk of an article (1) made of transparent glass of composition including at least one metallic oxide of silver, of gold, or of copper, said method including the following successive steps: a step of laser irradiating the zone of said glass article that is to be colored; and a final step of annealing the irradiated glass; and being characterized in that a glass composition is used that includes cerium and that has a total content of antimony plus tin that is less than 100 ppm, and in that the step of laser irradiating the zone that is to be colored is performed with laser irradiation having a pulse duration that is less than or equal to 10.sup.11 s, while delivering power to the glass at greater than 10.sup.12 W/cm.sup.2, and more preferably lying in the range 10.sup.12 W/cm.sup.2 to 510.sup.14 W/cm.sup.2 for decorating and marking glass articles.
