Quilling device
An apparatus for coiling a paper strip is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing, a pin and a plunger. The pin having an end positioned external to the housing and an axis of rotation, the end having a slot elongated along the axis of rotation, the slot being sized to receive the paper strip. Further, the plunger is disposed on the housing and configured to translate away from the pin, the plunger having a plunger head positioned proximate to the slot of the pin, the plunger head having a surface aligned to press the paper strip against the pin.
Geometric art structure for forming three-dimensional artwork
A geometric art structure includes a half cylinder, a first semi-circular panel, a second semi-circular panel, and a cover. The half cylinder includes a body defining a semi-circular wall having an interior surface, an exterior surface, a first end, a second end, a front end, a closed rear end, and an interior volume. The first end includes a first lateral face. The second end includes a second lateral face. The front end includes a pair of longitudinal faces. The front end includes an opening providing access to the interior volume. The first semi-circular panel is disposed at the first end and extends between the front end and the rear end. The second semi-circular panel is disposed at the second end and extends between the front end and the rear end. The cover extends over the body such that it terminates at the front end, leaving the opening exposed.
METHOD FOR FIXING A GAME BIRD FAN AND RELATED APPARATUS
A game bird fan can be created using a fixation template having a plurality of radial lines extending from a center region that define a plurality of spaced grid portions circumferentially arranged in a semicircular pattern. The base of the tail is initially aligned with the center region of the template and each of the tail feathers are individually aligned with the spaced grid regions. The tail feathers are temporarily secured to the template after each individual aligning step. An adhesive or epoxy is applied to the quills of the tail in order to retain the tail fan after which the formed tail can be removed from the template. Optionally, a riser can be disposed on the fixation template and beneath the base of the tail prior to aligning, enabling the created fan to have a curved or bowed configuration.
Decorative panel system
A decorative panel formed from at least a display panel secured to a frame. In some embodiments the panel comprises a transparent or translucent display panel and an interchangeable decorative insert disposed between the display panel and a supporting surface. In other embodiments an opaque display panel acts serves the function of both the display and decorative layers. A retaining frame is disposed about the periphery of the panels and retains the layers in generally abutting relation, the retaining frame being removable so as to permit replacement of the decorative insert or display panel. The retaining frame comprises a return flange disposed forwardly of the supporting surface at the position of the groove, such that the display panel is retained by the flange seated in the groove, generally concealing the retaining frame. The panel system of the invention provides a cost effective means of changing the look of cabinetry and other decorative fixtures that is easy to implement and results in little wastage of materials.
THERMALLY INDUCED REVEALING DECORATIVE DEVICE
A thermally induced revealing decorative device has a non-opaque, or partially non-opaque, container with a matrix at least partially filling the container. A warming mechanism is used to heat this matrix, which has thermochromic properties, such that when sufficiently warmed it becomes transparent or translucent. At least one decorative item is located within, and completely encompassed by the matrix. When the matrix is cooled, it is opaque and the decorative item is hidden, but when the matrix is heated such that it becomes transparent/translucent, the decorative item is revealed.
System and Method for Rotating an Ornament for the Purpose of Decorating the Ornament
A system and method for rotating an ornament, so that the ornament can be easily decorated. The decorating device has a housing that defines an interior compartment. Within the interior compartment, a mount receives and engages the neck of the ornament, therein temporarily connecting the ornament neck to the mount. The ornament is passed into the housing through an access opening in the housing. When connected to the mount in the housing, at least some of the ornament extends out of the housing through the access opening. A motor is used to rotate the mount and ornament. As the ornament rotates, the section of the ornament that extends out of the access opening can be contacted with marking devices. In this manner, the ornament can be decorated as it spins.
Surface structure of article
In the surface structure of an article 7 according to the present invention, a plurality of convex portions 11 are so disposed on a surface 9 as to have intervals relative to each other and a plurality of fine convex portions 21 having a diameter d and a height h smaller than those of the concave portion 11 are formed on the surface of at least the edge portion 15 of the concave portion 11. By this, when a hand touches the surface 9 of the article 7, the proper number of convex portions 21 abut on a linear object 25 constituting a fingerprint 23 of a hand's finger, to thereby allow the human being to obtain a delicate-and-soft touch feeling.

DECORATIVE ELONGATED OBJECT, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DECORATIVE ELONGATED OBJECT, OLYMPIC TORCH, AND LIGHTING DEVICE
To provide an air passage for torch combustion in the torch main body to ensure the freedom of design. A decorative elongated object according to the present invention includes an elongated material (100) with a cross section having a plurality of radial lines (L2) and being uniform from one end (1a) to another end (1b), a cavity being formed at the center of the elongated material, in which the elongated material has a side surface at least partially tapered to be thinner toward the other end (1b) from the one end (1a), with the radial lines (L2) partially cut and removed along a side surface cutting plane intersecting with the side surface.
Method of producing a decorated element for a timepiece or piece of jewellery, and element made by the method
The method makes it possible to produce a decorated element for a timepiece or piece of jewelry. This decorated element may be, for example, a watch dial. The method includes the steps of taking a base substrate, and micromachining on said base substrate a mould or decorative partitions in a programmed pattern, and filling the mould or the decorative partitions with at least one filler material to obtain the decorated element. The filler material may be enamel.
