Systems and methods for color selection are provided. A web server stores a lookup table that associates room types and types of feelings with paint colors such that each possible combination of room type and type of feeling is associated with a subset of paint colors. A user device displays the room types, receives a room type selection indicating a particular room type, displays the types of feelings, receives a type of feeling selection indicating a particular type of feeling, accesses the lookup table and determines the associated subset of paint colors in the lookup table for the combination of the particular room type and the particular type of feeling, and displays the associated subset of paint colors as recommended paint colors for the combination of the particular room type and the particular type of feeling on the display of the user device.

Systems and methods for color selection are provided. A user device displays room types on a display, receives a room type selection indicating a particular room type, displays phrases having words associated with types of feelings, and receives a phrase selection indicating a particular phrase. The user device accesses a lookup table that associates the room types and phrase with paint colors such that each possible combination of room type and phrase is associated with a subset of paint colors. The user device determines the associated subset of paint colors in the lookup table for the combination of the particular room type and the particular phrase and displays the associated subset of paint colors as recommended paint colors for the combination of the particular room type and the particular phrase on the display of the user device.

A head-measuring device is disclosed and includes a support frame. The head-measuring device also includes a plurality of movable arms comprising a first set of movable arms and a second set of movable arms. The first set includes a first outermost arm, the second set includes a second outermost arm opposite the first outermost arm, and each movable arm is movable between a first position and a second position. The head-measuring device also includes a stationary arm coupled to the support frame such that the stationary arm is approximately equidistant between the outermost arms as the outermost arms are moved between the first and second positions. The plurality of movable arms are parallel to each other and to the stationary arm. The first and second sets of movable arms are mechanically linked such that the first set moves synchronously with the second set between the first and second positions.

The present disclosure provides a portable apparatus with a long rotatable spindle covered with compressible gripping bristles. The long rotatable bristle covered spindle mounted within the apparatus is coupled and detachable coupled with a battery-operated motor. One or more rounded objects with central openings are mounted onto the rotatable spindle covered with compressible bristles that grip the round objects. The rounded objects will rotate at a desired speed to facilitate coating their exteriors evenly and efficiently.

The described herein is a method for identifying a best match to a metal deco target color and distributing the best match to interested parties for ongoing validation. The method creates a digital proofing database that matches, for example, PantoneLIVE™ target colors and sets a defined digital inkjet standard to within desired tolerances. Also described is a system that implements the method.
