Folding tool
Provided is a tool that includes a handle assembly including a top portion and a bottom portion. The tool also includes a lock plate disposed between the top and bottom portions and having a deflectable arm having a free end biased towards the top portion, a fixed end opposite the free end, an inner edge, an outer edge, and a detent near the free end and the inner edge. The tool additionally includes a blade having first and second ends, an indent in a bottom surface of the blade near the first end for engaging the detent in a closed position, and a ramp on the bottom surface near the indent defining a reduced thickness portion of the blade that reduces in thickness from the indent towards an edge of the blade to reduce contact between the detent and the blade during rotation of the blade.
TECHNIQUES FOR IDENTIFYING SKIN COLOR IN IMAGES HAVING UNCONTROLLED LIGHTING CONDITIONS
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, one or more machine learning models are trained to accurately estimate skin color in one or more images regardless of the lighting conditions. In some embodiments, the models can then be used to estimate a skin color in a new image, and that estimated skin color can be used for a variety of purposes. For example, the skin color may be used to generate a recommendation for a foundation shade that accurately matches the skin color, or a recommendation for another cosmetic product that is complimentary with the estimated skin color. Thus, the need for an in-person test of the product is eliminated.
System and method for rotating an egg-shaped object for the purpose of applying decorations
A system and method for rotating an egg-shaped object for decoration. The system uses a machine with an access opening. An open area exists within the interior of the housing between the access opening and a bottom surface. A support cradle is disposed within the interior. The support cradle has a first plurality of wheels that extend into the open area from a first direction and a second plurality of wheels that extend into the open area from a second direction. A gap space exists between the first plurality of wheels and the second plurality of wheels. The first plurality of wheels, the second plurality of wheels and the gap space form a cradle that receive and rotate an egg-shaped object. When in this cradle, at least half of the egg-shaped object is elevated above the top surface of the housing, where it can be easily decorated.

Pop-up gloss card
Disclosed herein is a pop-up or three-dimensional gloss card including a substantially flat gloss layer having at least one color chip with a predetermined gloss finish, and a top layer defining at least one window. The top layer is positioned on top of the gloss layer so that the at least one color chip is visible through the at least one window. The gloss card also has an activator that reversibly bends the gloss layer so that the at least one color chip protrudes through the at least one window to exhibit the gloss finish of the color chip.

High definition stencil
A stencil for use in stenciling complex symbols incorporates a stencil substrate employing a flexible material, having a plurality of symbols arranged thereon. A plurality of folding stiffeners are incorporated in the substrate, each stiffener being positioned to split symbols having stencil cutouts forming isolated elements within an interior of the symbol. The stiffeners are foldable about a vertex, to collapse into a raised position and bring together the split symbol, with the stiffeners supporting the isolated elements created by the cutouts and portions of the stencil cutouts forming the symbols that extend into coincident channels in the folding stiffeners, to bridge adjoining portions of said split characters.

Paint multi-tool assembly
A paint multi-tool assembly includes a shaft that has a hooked end that is insertable into a power tool thereby facilitating the shaft to be rotated when the power tool is turned on. A first cylinder insertably receives the shaft thereby facilitating the first cylinder to be inserted into an open end of a paint roller. Thus, the power tool can rotate the paint roller for cleaning paint off of the paint roller. A plurality of fins is each coupled to and extends away from the first cylinder for stirring paint in the paint container. A second cylinder is coupled to each of the fins such that the second cylinder is spaced from the first cylinder. In this way the second cylinder can be inserted into the paint container or be inserted into the open end of the paint roller.
ROBOTIC GRIPPER FOR WRITING AND OBJECT CREATION
This disclosure relates generally to a robotic gripper to hold a writing and object creation device for writing and object creation. The robotic gripper includes clamping unit, spring loaded slider unit and outer housing unit. The clamping unit include a finger collet with three or more flexible finger positions equispaced within 360 degrees with two areas of contact on each finger in front part for firm gripping. The spring loaded slider unit include a middle housing to transfer a force from the writing and object creation device to a force sensitive resistor (FSR). A micro actuator induces a required force to the writing and object creation device based on feedback from the force sensitive resistor. The middle housing includes a plunger shaft connected with a preload spring. The outer housing unit configured to hold a micro actuator, cotter pins, locator pins to the micro actuator, and a push pull key.
