IMAGE SURFACE PROTECTION STRUCTURE OF A PAINTING
An image surface protection structure of a painting capable of protecting the image surface layer of a painting from dirt and physical damage without impairing the original color or texture of the image surface of the paint layer is provided.
An image surface protection structure of a painting comprising: a sealed space having an oxygen concentration of 4% or less, formed from a transparent hard plate and a gas barrier material; a painting placed in the sealed space, with the image surface of it facing the transparent hard plate.
ARTWORK SUBSTRATES HAVING RAISED OUTER EDGES TO PREVENT CURABLE COATINGS FROM SPILLING OVER OUTER PERIMETERS THEREOF
An artwork system includes a metal substrate having a top surface, a bottom surface, and an outer perimeter. The top surface of the metal substrate is anodized. The outer perimeter of the metal substrate includes a curved outer edge that projects above the top surface of the metal substrate to define a raised rim that extends around the outer perimeter of the metal substrate. The top surface of the metal substrate is covered with artwork such as a painting. A curable, transparent, coating overlies the artwork and the top surface of the metal substrate. The curable transparent coating has an outer perimeter that abuts against the curved outer edge of the metal substrate. The curved outer edge of the substrate has an inner concave surface that faces toward a center of the metal substrate and an outer convex surface that faces away from the center of the metal substrate. The curable, transparent coating has an outer perimeter that abuts against the inner concave surface of the curved outer edge of the metal substrate
BAR CLAMP
A bar clamp formed into a hook shape to facilitate securing products such as works of art on a cloth material stretched over a stretcher bar system to a transport structure (e.g. crate or travel frame) for safe transport or storage. The bar clamp typically has 2 bends in one end, making a hook shape, to receive the interior edge of the stretcher, and an attachment mechanism at the opposite end for attaching by means of fasteners to the enclosed structure (e.g. crate or travel frame).
Carrying Case for Wet Canvas
A carrying case for wet canvas. The carrying case includes a base having a sidewall extending perpendicularly away therefrom, thereby defining an interior volume. A lid is securable to the sidewall, such that the lid encloses the interior volume when secured thereto. A tension bar is disposed on the base within the interior volume, wherein the tension bar can telescopically move between an extended position and a retracted position. A linear distance between a first side of the tension bar and a second side of the tension bar is greater when in the extended position. The first and second ends are designed to frictionally engage an interior surface of a canvas frame, thereby maintaining a position of the canvas within the interior volume such that an exterior of the canvas is preserved.
Removably attachable handle apparatus for manipulating canvas art
A removably attachable handle apparatus includes brackets coupleable to canvas art with handles coupleable to the brackets. Brackets may be positioned on opposite sides of the canvas art. An artist may then grasp the handles to create art (e.g., acrylic pours) or may otherwise transport wet art without fear of smudging the art.
Picture frame and system and method of construction thereof
A picture frame is constructed using a system and method wherein a pair of cooperating profile extrusion lengths are cut to size to form a frame to accommodate a piece of artwork. A continuous spacer is provided to be locatable between a cover sheet and backing sheet. The profile lengths are fastened together at the edges of the frame, thereby compressing the spacer between the cover sheet and backing sheet. As such an isolated volume is created that can be evacuated of oxygen for preservation of the artwork.

METHOD FOR CLEANING THE SURFACES OF HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INTEREST
It is described a method for cleaning surfaces of an item of historical-artistic interest comprising a step of applying a wipe (1), comprising a membrane of non-woven fabric (2) soaked with a solvent, to a surface layer to be removed of said item of historical-artistic interest; it is also described a wipe (1) for cleaning surfaces of an item of historical-artistic interest, in particular a painting work, adapted to carry out said method, and a kit (10) comprising a plurality of wipes (1).
