RAIL VEHICLE HAVING GUIDE DEVICE
The rail vehicle has a guide device configured to guide traveling of a bogie on a traveling track by rolling guide wheels in a state of bringing the guide wheels into contact with guide rails installed on both sides of the traveling track in a vehicle width direction perpendicular to a traveling direction, wherein: the guide device has an arm and the guide wheels, the arm having a central portion fixed to a stationary member, extending to both sides in the vehicle width direction, and having both end portions elastically deformable in a direction in which the guide rails extend, the guide wheels being mounted on the arm at the both end portions of the arm in the vehicle width direction; and a center of each of the guide wheels is displaced from a center line of the arm, the center line extending in the vehicle width direction.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REPAIRING RAIL WHEELS
A method of repairing a rail wheel including removing a selected segment of a rim of the rail wheel to provide a remaining segment having a first engagement surface, and providing a replacement workpiece including a replacement body element having a second engagement surface formed to mate with the first engagement surface. The replacement workpiece is positioned to define a predetermined gap between the first and second engagement surfaces. One or more heating elements are positioned in the predetermined gap, for induction heating, in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, of first and second heated portions of the remaining segment and the replacement workpiece, and the first and second engagement surfaces, to a hot working temperature, for plastic deformation thereof. The heating elements are removed, and the first and second engagement surfaces are engaged for plastic deformation of at least part of the first and second heated portions and the engagement surfaces.

Travel wheel degradation detection method and detection system, and travel carriage
Degradation of a running wheel is detected without using a special sensor or the like. Degradation of a running wheel of a running vehicle that travels using the running wheel that is rotated by a running motor is detected. A difference between a velocity of the running wheel obtained based on a number of rotations of the running wheel and a ground speed of the running vehicle, is obtained as a slip velocity, and degradation of the running wheel is detected based on a fact that torque of the running motor and the slip velocity have passed through a predetermined abnormal range in a space comprising a torque component and a slip velocity component.
