Wheel having a sinusoidal circumference

A circular wheel is aligned in a rotational plane and has a peripheral outfacing surface symmetrical about the plane of rotational. A center line of the width of the peripheral outfacing surface is sinusoidal around the wheel. The wheel may have a central hub, a rim, a medial wheel structure between the hub and the rim, and a tire mounted on the rim. The outfacing surface may be that of the hub, the medial wheel structure, the rim, or the tire depending on the application.

Composite wheel rim preform and method of fabricating a composite wheel rim preform
10029512 · 2018-07-24 · ·

A preform for fabricating a wheel rim and a method of making a preform is provided. The preform includes a main section and at least one secondary section, each section being formed from composite materials, such as triaxially braided composite material that includes fibers oriented in at least three directions. The main section forms at least part of a lateral section of the preform and the secondary section forms at least part of a radial portion of the preform, the radial portion of the preform being generally perpendicular to the lateral section of the preform. The preform is fabricated from a plurality of composite layers, at least some being custom composite layers having a plurality of axial fibers interwoven intermittently with substantially consistent first and second sets of biased fibers. In some embodiments, the preform is initially fabricated in an intermediate configuration prior to being moved to a final configuration.

Method for color register spraying of hub

The present invention provides a method for color register spraying of a hub, which includes machining and turning for glossy finish after spraying a black paint on the surface of a hub, and then spraying a color transparent paint onto the hub. The method provided by the invention achieves a spraying-based color register effect through spraying of the color transparent paint, which greatly improves the production efficiency and is available for batch production.
