Scooter Wheel
A scooter wheel assembly consists of a rim which holds a tire and said rim having as its axial hole two tapers meeting at its mid-plane. The rim accepts two hub halves of which each is a frustum, such that clamping forces across the opposed conical surfaces of the pair of frusta firmly enforce concentricity between the axle and the rim and its tire. The rim and tire are connected to the axle exclusively by frictional coupling. Advantageously for changing a rim or tire, the hub parts can be quickly disassembled with common tools.
Automatic truck assembly tire inflator system with dual pump
A tire inflation apparatuses is provided for maintaining a predetermined inflation pressure of a pair of tires mounted on a dual wheel unit of a vehicle. The apparatus includes a first and a second pump unit that are connected to a housing that includes a mounting structure for engaging a complementary mounting structure of the dual wheel unit. The first and second pump include first and second pump rods configured to translate in response to rotation of the dual wheel unit. A gearset and an eccentric drive mechanism are arranged to reciprocate the first and second pump rods.
METHOD OF MOUNTING A WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A COLLAPSIBLE WHEEL
A wheel assembly includes a collapsible wheel and an airless flexible tire mounted on the wheel. The wheel includes a central portion and a plurality of circumferentially spaced mounting elements attached to the central portion. Each of the mounting elements is movable between a retracted position and an extended position, and may be pivotally attached to the central portion of the wheel and configured to pivot between the retracted position and the extended position. The tire may be positioned on the wheel when one or more of the mounting elements is in the retracted position, and the one or more mounting elements are moved to the extended position wherein the mounting elements engage and support the tire.
ANTI-ROLLING WHEEL
An anti-rolling wheel includes: a ring-shaped main wheel; an inner frame positioned inside the main wheel, wherein the inner frame comprising at least two auxiliary wheels that come into contact with an inner surface of the main wheel and rotate when the main wheel is driven; and a sliding block provided to be movable under the guide of the inner frame.
A Wheel Construction
A wheel construction including a rim, the rim including: an inner flange (16) and an outer flange (18), a central well (20) positioned between the flanges, a pair of bead seats (22, 24), one being positioned adjacent each flange, each bead seat being connected to the respective flange by a flange connection portion, and being connected to one of a pair of side parts (30, 32), each connected to the central well by a well connecting portion (34, 36), wherein at least one of the side parts includes a convex portion (40, 42) including a convex surface that extends radially beyond the axially inner end of the bead and a curved portion (50, 52), and wherein at least one of the inner flange and the outer flange includes an extended portion (17, 19) which extends radially inwardly to a free end.
Disc Wheel with Internal Bracing
A bicycle disc wheel comprises a first disc panel and a second disc panel. The first disc panel has a first side outer surface and a first side inner surface and the second disc panel has a second side outer surface and a second side inner surface. The first side outer surface radially extends from a first disc panel outer perimeter to a center opening and the second side outer surface radially extends from a second disc panel outer perimeter to the center opening. The second side inner surface faces the first side inner surface. A brace is coupled to the first side inner surface and the second side inner surface that provide radial and axial structural support to the disc panels.
A WHEEL
A wheel includes a wheel rim, a hub defining a hollow housing for a wheel mount, and three or more resilient and equidistantly spaced spokes extending between an outer circumferential surface of the hub and an inner circumferential surface of the wheel rim. Each spoke is defined by a flexed, elongate spring element having a length that is greater than the radial distance between the outer circumferential surface of the hub and the inner circumferential surface of the wheel rim. The spring element is tangentially fixed at or towards one end to the outer circumferential surface of the hub and tangentially coupled at or towards its other end to the inner circumferential surface of the wheel rim via a hinged connection. The tangential coupling at the wheel rim is spaced circumferentially from the tangential fixing at the hub in a predetermined direction by a predetermined angle.
WHEELED LUGGAGE CASE
An axle-free wheel comprising: an outer rim member having a ground interface on an external surface thereof and an outer ball race or rolling race on an inner surface thereof; an inner rim member having an inner ball or rolling race on an outer surface thereof.
