WHEEL CARRIER FOR A SUSPENSION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
Disclosed is a wheel carrier for a suspension of a motor vehicle; and a motor vehicle comprising the wheel carrier. In a preferred system, the wheel carrier comprises a first carrier segment configured to carry a wheel of the motor vehicle at a wheel center; and a second carrier segment configured to couple the first carrier segment with a vehicle body of the motor vehicle. The second carrier segment comprises at least one groove, and the first carrier segment comprises for each groove a corresponding sliding pin configured to slidingly engage the respective groove such that the pin slides along the groove under vertical and/or horizontal displacements of the wheel center with respect to the second carrier segment.
Caster wheel brake and anti-swivel system
A caster wheel brake and anti-swivel system for carts and other wheeled articles is operable to secure free-castering wheels against swiveling rotation about their swivel axes, and against rolling rotation along their horizontal rotation axes. The system includes a swiveling caster wheel assembly and an actuation link, with an anti-swivel actuator and a brake actuator coupled thereto. Linear movement of the actuation link causes the anti-swivel actuator to engage the anti-swivel member that rotates with the caster wheel about the swivel axis, to selectively prevent the anti-swivel member and wheel from swiveling. The actuation link's movement also urges a brake actuator to move a wheel brake and drives a braking surface into engagement with the wheel, thereby preventing the wheel from rolling at the same time it is prevented from swiveling by the pawl. Optionally, a foot-operated torque shaft and a rack-and-pinion arrangement are used to operate the actuation link.
CASTER WHEEL BRAKE SYSTEM
A caster wheel brake system for carts and other wheeled articles is operable to secure caster wheels against rolling rotation along their horizontal rotation axes. The system includes a pivotable parking brake lever, an actuator arm, and a torque shaft extending between the brake lever and actuator arm. The brake lever includes a distal end portion for selectively engaging a caster wheel, a proximal end portion opposite the distal end portion, and a pivot coupling, the latter being pivotably secured to the cart or wheeled article. An actuator arm extends outwardly from a distal end portion of the torque shaft, with the actuator arm slidably engaging the proximal end portion of the brake lever. The torque shaft and the actuator arm are rotatable together to urge the brake lever toward the braking or non-braking position
Retractable furniture caster system
An example article of furniture includes a number of furniture legs having mechanically coupled thereto a respective furniture caster having a rolling component. The furniture casters are movable between (i) an extended position in which their rolling components at least partially extend below bottom surfaces of the furniture legs and (ii) a retracted position in which their rolling components are positioned entirely above the bottom surfaces of the furniture legs. Push-pull cables are mechanically coupled to the furniture casters, and at least one actuator is mechanically coupled to the push-pull cables. When actuated, the actuator applies a pushing force to the push-pull cables, thereby causing the furniture casters to transition from the retracted position to the extended position. When the actuator is not actuated, the pushing force is removed from the push-pull cables, thereby causing the furniture casters to transition from the extended position to the retracted position.
Conductive caster wheel
A conductive caster wheel is adapted to be mounted on a cart. The conductive caster wheel includes a caster hub adapted to be sleeved on a bearing of the cart, a wheel body sleeved on the caster hub, and a conductive plate disposed inside the caster hub and the wheel body. The conductive plate has an inner conductive section and an outer conductive section. The inner conductive section is exposed from an inner surrounding surface of the caster hub, and is adapted to be electrically connected to the bearing. The outer conductive section is electrically connected to the inner conductive section, is exposed from an outer surrounding surface of the wheel body, and is adapted to be in contact with a ground surface.
APPARATUS FOR AFFIXING AN ACCESSORY TO A GATE
Disclosed embodiments provide an apparatus for affixing an accessory (e.g., a wheel) to a gate. These include a bracket that has a first planar member and a set of secondary planar members affixed to the first planar member and extend perpendicularly outward from the first planar member to which an accessory can be mounted. Also included are a set of fasteners that have a curved intermediate section that has a planar interior surface and first and second parallel ends that are adapted to extend through oblong shaped apertures in the first parallel surface and are fastened to the first parallel surface with a set of parallel end fasteners coupled to the first and second parallel ends.
GUIDED VEHICLE
A guided vehicle includes: a first wheel section positioned at a front end portion of a base; and second and third wheel sections which are independent from each other. The first wheel section includes a left-right frame body, and swivel wheels arranged on left and right portions of the left-right frame body. An intermediate position between the swivel wheels in the left-right frame body is supported to be swingable about a front-rear axis relative to the base. Each of the second wheel section and the third wheel section includes a front-rear frame body, and a driving wheel and a swivel wheel which are respectively arranged at a front portion and a rear portion of the front-rear frame body. An intermediate position between the driving wheel and the swivel wheel of each front-rear frame body is supported to be swingable about the left-right axis and the front-rear axis relative to the base.
Movable umbrella base
A movable umbrella base comprises a housing (1), a wheel frame (2) disposed under the bottom of the housing (1), at least three wheels (3) connected at intervals to the wheel frame (2) and located partially under the wheel frame (2), a plurality of air bags (4) located inside a space defined by the wheel frame (2) and the housing (1), and a plurality of elastic members (6) limit displacement of the wheel frame (2) and the wheels (3) from the housing (1); when the air bags (4) are inflated, the housing (1) is lifted up relative to the wheel frame (2) and the wheels (3) from the ground; when the air bags (4) are deflated, the housing (1) is lowered relative to the wheel frame (2) and the wheels (3) and contacts the ground. The umbrella base can be moved by the air bags (4), the whole operation process is easier, and it saves more time and effort.
Caster wheel orientation sensor assembly
A system for sensing the angular position of a caster wheel includes a sensor mounted on a bearing which supports a shaft aligned with the rotational axis of the caster. A target on the shaft is detected by the sensor which generates signals indicative of the presence or absence of the target. The position of the target is coordinated with the position of the caster wheel such that the signals are indicative of the angular position of the caster wheel. The target may be a groove extending partially around the shaft and a remaining ungrooved portion of the shaft.
