Methods relating to polyurethane foam-containing and degradable foam-containing tires, and degradable foam-containing tires
Disclosed herein are methods for degrading polyurethane foam from mounted polyurethane foam-containing tires, methods for separating a wheel from a mounted polyurethane foam-containing tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, and degradable foam-containing tires. The methods include applying a solution comprising at least one phosphorous oxoacid or an ester thereof to the polyurethane foam inside of a tire, incorporating a degradant comprising at least one phosphorous oxoacid or an ester thereof into the polyurethane foam, or both, and then heating to degrade the foam. Degradation of the foam allows for separation of the wheel from the rubber carcass of the tire.
ASSEMBLY FOR AN INNER TUBE
An assembly (100) for an inner tube (110) for a tire or of an inner tube (110) for a tire, includes a base film (101, 201), which is forming a part of the inner tube (110) or configured to be attached to the inner tube (110). The assembly (100) includes a ring (102), which is inserted into a hole through the base film (101, 201), the ring (102) having internal threads of a fasten mechanism. The assembly (100) has a plug (103), which is removably insertable in the ring (102), the plug (103) including external threads of the fasten mechanism, a first end having a first surface (103a) adapted to face outwards a cavity of the inner tube when inflated, and a second end having a second surface (103b) adapted to face inwards the cavity of the inner tube and adapted for attaching a module (104) having an electronic device.
Pneumatic tire and method of manufacturing same
A pneumatic tire mounted with surface fastener members for attaching an object to a tire inner surface, comprises: at least eight surface fastener members having an intermittent arrangement on a tread inner circumferential surface, the surface fastener members having a uniform cross-sectional dimension, an overall band-like shape, and a length in a tire axial direction from 50% to 120% of a maximum belt width of the pneumatic tire; wherein an angle θ between a longitudinal direction of the surface fastener members and the tire axial direction is from 0 degrees to 45 degrees; and an installation period in a tire circumferential direction is from 80% to 150% of the length in the tire axial direction of the surface fastener members.

Post-cure run-flat and/or noise reduction apparatus and method of manufacturing the same
A motor vehicle tire is disclosed with a pair of post-cure run-flat inserts, each of the pair of post-cure run-flat inserts is disposed within a tire cavity between a shoulder region and a respective upper sidewall region of the tire. The tire further includes a cylindrical sidewall defining an interior cylindrical cavity, each of the cylindrical sidewall and the interior cylindrical cavity extending 360 degrees about a rotational axis of the tire, the cylindrical sidewall having an exterior surface contacting a radially inner surface of an inner liner between the shoulder region and the respective upper sidewall region during a normal inflation condition of the tire.
Pneumatic Tire and Vehicle
A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of protrusions that are provided in a range that includes the tire maximum width position of the tire side portion, and that extend in a direction intersecting the radial direction. The plurality of protrusions are separated from each other in the tire circumferential direction by spacings, pass through the center of rotation of the tire, and extend in the tire radial direction. In a case where a first straight line and a second straight line with different tire circumferential direction positions each cross the protrusions, a ratio of a sum of masses per unit length of the protrusions the first straight line crosses to a sum of masses per unit length of the protrusion the second straight line crosses is not less than 0.8 and not greater than 1.2.
SHAPE MEMORY CHAMBER FOR TIRE PRESSURE CONTROL
A peristaltic pump chamber with shape memory for pressure adjustment in tires is provided and which is part of the tire or is adjacent to the tire wall or is a part of a vehicle wheel, in particular for tires with an inner tube, e.g. bicycle tires.
Systems and methods for use in a vehicle for detecting external events
There is provided a vehicle comprising a microphone positioned to receive sounds originated from outside of the vehicle, an analog-to-digital converter configured to covert the sounds received by the microphone to digital audio signals, a memory storing a sound processing software and one or more known audios, and a hardware processor configured to execute the sound processing software. In one implementation the sound processing software performs comparing the digital audio signals with the one or more known audios stored in the memory, determining, in response to the comparing, a match between the digital audio signals and a first audio of the one or more known audios stored in the memory; and taking an action in response to the determining of the match between the digital audio signals and the first audio.
DEVULCANIZED RUBBER, RUBBER COMPOSITION, AND PNEUMATIC TIRE
The present invention relates to a devulcanized rubber obtained by mixing a devulcanizing agent having an alkylamide group and a vulcanized rubber. The devulcanizing agent is preferably an amide compound of an alkylamine having 12 or more carbon atoms. The present invention also relates to a rubber composition comprising the devulcanized rubber. The rubber composition preferably contains 1 to 30 parts by mass of the devulcanized rubber per 100 parts by mass of a total amount of an unvulcanized rubber component in the rubber composition.
