Land-and-air vehicle and method of operating land-and-air vehicle
A land-and-air vehicle configured to switch between a ground traveling mode and an aerial flight mode incudes a body, a wing, a wheel, a suspension, and a lock mechanism. The wing is attached to the body. The wheel is provided on a lower side of the body. The suspension is configured to support the body via the wheel on ground, and to contract due to self-weight of the land-and-air vehicle. The lock mechanism is configured to limit expansion of the suspension from a state in which the suspension has contracted due to the self-weight.
REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING A REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY
A snowmobile including a chassis including a tunnel; a motor; at least one ski; an endless drive track; a rear suspension assembly including: a front suspension arm; a rear suspension arm; a pair of slide rails; a first rear shock absorber connected between the front suspension arm and the slide rails; and a second rear shock absorber connected between the rear suspension arm and the front suspension arm or the slide rails; at least one sensor for sensing an angular position of the front suspension arm or the rear suspension arm relative to one of the tunnel and a component of the rear suspension assembly near at least one of the front suspension arm and the rear suspension arm; and a controller communicatively connected to the sensor to receive electronic signals therefrom representative of the angular position.
Pick and carry crane suspension
A crane, in particular a pick and carry crane, may have a front chassis with front wheels and a back chassis with back wheels, the front chassis being articulated relative to the back chassis so that the crane can travel whilst carrying a load suspended from a boom. The back and front wheels have independent suspensions which are capable of connection to one another so that movement of a left wheel influences movement of a right wheel, thereby improving the handing of the crane, particularly over rough terrain.
Load-carrying vehicle part and a wheeled vehicle equipped with such vehicle part
The invention relates to a load-carrying vehicle part with a first and a second wheel pair (10, 11), which are suspended in a respective bogie element (20) on each side of a frame member (14), a suspension (15) between each bogie element (20) and the frame member (14) on each side of the vehicle part to manipulate the frame member relative to the respective wheel pairs (10, 11), or support the frame member in a springing manner, each suspension (15) comprises a first and a second rocker arm (26A, 26B), wherein the first rocker arm is located in front of the second rocker arm viewed in the normal forward direction of driving of the vehicle part, that each rocker arm (26A, 26B) with its one end is pivotably in a joint (27, 27) in the frame member (14) and with its other end is pivotably in a joint (28, 28) in the bogie element (20) a first spring leg (25A) and a second spring leg (25B), wherein each spring leg with its one end (30) is articulately fastened to the frame member (14) and with its other end (31) is articulately fastened in a rocker arm (26A, 26B), a motion conversion arrangement (29) capable of converting a rotary motion in a joint (27, 28) for one of the rocker arms (26A, 26B) to a forward and backward translation motion.
Rear suspension assembly and method of controlling a rear suspension assembly
A snowmobile has a rear suspension assembly including front and rear suspension arms, first and second rear shock absorbers, a first sensor for sensing an angular position of the front suspension arm, a second sensor for sensing an angular position of the rear suspension arm, and a controller communicatively connected to the first and second sensors. A method of controlling the rear suspension assembly includes: sensing an angular position and/or an angular velocity of the front suspension arm; sensing an angular position and/or an angular velocity of a rear suspension arm; and determining a stroke and/or a piston velocity of the first rear shock absorber and/or the second rear shock absorber based on the angular position and the angular velocity of the front and rear suspension arms as sensed by the first and second sensors respectively.
TRAILER FRAME RAIL SUSPENSION FOR ELECTRIC AND HYBRID TRANSPORT
A self contained battery and slide frame houses a pair of trailer axles and an electrical vehicle storage battery secured by parallel slide frame rails adapted for attachment to an underside of a standard tractor trailer (Class 8) trailer frame. The slide frame attaches to an underside of a trailer using perforated frame beams used to vary a position of the wheel/axle assemblies relative to the trailer body and payload. The slide frame rails provide self contained support for a storage battery, e-axle, control electronics and connecting wires for charging and running a vehicle load from the storage battery. Vehicle loads powered by the storage battery include transport refrigeration units (TRUs) and electrical vehicle (EV) tractors.
