20240100897 · 2024-03-28 · ·

A suspension assembly includes a first linkage rod coupled between an axle housing and a first frame rail, and a second linkage rod coupled between the axle housing and a second frame rail. The first linkage rod is arranged at an angle relative to a central longitudinal axis so that as the first linkage rod extends from the axle housing toward the first frame rail, the first linkage rod angles laterally outwardly and away from the central longitudinal axis. The second linkage rod is arranged at an angle relative to the central longitudinal axis so that as the second linkage rod extends from the axle housing toward the second frame rail, the second linkage rod angles laterally outwardly and away from the central longitudinal axis.

Hybrid electric vehicle axle with two motors

Provided herein is an electric axle assembly including a first motor-generator assembly, a second motor generator assembly, an axle housing, a first axle half shaft drivingly connected to the first motor-generator assembly and a second axle half shaft drivingly connected to the second motor-generator assembly. The first and second motor-generator assemblies each include a motor-generator and a housing and gear carrier portion. The axle housing includes a first axle tube portion, a second axle tube portion, a center portion, and an opening extending through the center portion of the axle housing, wherein the first axle tube portion and the second axle tube portion are disposed on axial opposite sides of the central portion. The first and second half shafts extended into the opening of the axle housing, and the first motor-generator assembly and the second motor-generator assembly are connected to the axle housing assembly.

Low-floor electric axle assembly

A low-floor electric axle assembly including: an axle housing, two hub motors, two planetary gear reducers, two hubs, a brake system, two C-shaped beams, and a suspension system. Mechanical mounting of the suspension system is compatible with a conventional axle. The axle housing has a left and right symmetrical dumbbell-shaped structure configured to bear a weight of a vehicle. The hub motors are inner rotor type motors and are separately arranged at two ends of the axle housing left and right symmetrically. The hub motors are arranged coaxially with two wheels respectively. Two hub motor rotors are connected to the planetary gear reducers respectively. Each of the planetary gear reducers is a single-stage planetary gear reducer. A sun gear of each of the planetary gear reducers receives power outputted by each of the hub motor. Two planetary gear reducer housings are power output ends connected to two rims respectively.

Trailer suspension

The suspension system for a trailer is disclosed. The suspension system includes a torsion axle and an air spring operating to accommodate a wide range of a load weight applied to the trailer without any change in ride comfort. The air spring can be adjusted for its pressure inside to cover a heavy load weight, while the torsion axle can have relatively softer spring materials therein to cover a light (and zero) load weight. The air spring and the torsion axle are arranged in series to provide adequate suspension based on the load weight.

Retractably Extendable Trailing Axle

A vehicle suspension assembly includes a trailing axle carried by a frame of the assembly. The frame can retract to a retracted state from an extended state and extend from the retracted state to the extended state. The retraction and extension can occur along a longitudinal axis of the frame. An operator can pivotally raise and lower a free end of frame in the retracted or extended state along an arcuate path when the vehicle suspension assembly connects to a vehicle.
